11,000+ human brain microvessels in cSVD.
Key findings:
β’ Early, bimodal pericyte loss
β’ Endothelial activation comes later
β’ Venous-like microvascular shift
β’ Capillary density β
π‘ Suggests a sequential vascular pathology, not parallel.

Hot off the press! We find changes in oligodendrocytes that lack FMRP! An excellent collaboration supported by @sidb-edinburgh.bsky.social .
We are still recruiting for PhD studentships in basic & translational brain sciences! SIDB provides an annual stipend of Β£25K, plus tuition fees (inc. international).
