Linguistics at Lancaster has been ranked 2nd in the QS world rankings! What a privilege it is to work in such an esteemed environment and what a joy and honour it is to work among all the wonderful people that make it such a great place. www.lancaster.ac.uk/news/lancast...
One of the many beautiful blossom trees to be found around @lancasteruni.bsky.social campus at this time of year.
Similar. Dropped out of A-levels after two months. Dossed around for a couple of years before getting a place at my local uni (UEA). Always exceedingly grateful for the system that allowed non-traditional entry and to the admissions tutor who interviewed me and gave me a chance.

Beautiful views from the top of Silver How on a crystal clear day today.
I did a lecture yesterday on time conceptualisation in different languages pointing to different axes and orientations of the mental timeline. A student very sensibly asked whether “reversed” mental timelines exist in any sign languages around the world. Does anybody know of any papers on this?
⌛One week left to submit panel proposals!
🗓️ And then two more to submit abstracts for papers and posters!!
Do not miss the deadline... It's closing soon!
