The Godwit Days Festival here in Humboldt county went well this weekend. Lots of birdwatching tours and environmental talks. Sold lots of cards & prints and met a LOT of people!
I’m happy I went! The folks there appreciated nature art in a different way than most.

I had my three-year-old open a pack of Magic cards for the first time.
To commemorate the first rare he opened, I had him scribble on it with silver sharpie. Then I shadowed the signature in black.
Card went from $19 to priceless.
So it turns out paying people a living wage doesn’t collapse the economy; it’s almost like the rich have been lying to us to maintain their power over our lives.
Got new brushes! Started a new drawing! On a different app than normal, and I love it so far! I'm gonna throw in a few more sketches and really practice drawing him as differently as I can!
