SCOOP: The writing software Grammarly will discontinue its AI “Expert Review” feature, which used the names of authors without their permission to suggest edits. But parent company Superhuman is still facing a class-action lawsuit over it, brought by journalist @juliaangwin.com.
“Overall, the study participants who saw the biased AI text shifted their positions toward those espoused by the AI.”
I hear they do marvelous things with wicker.
The only interesting thing about daylight savings time is how it demonstrates that it's easier to force an entire society to pretend that 4 o'clock is 5 o'clock than it is to convince a hundred capitalists to let their workers off at 4 o'clock
A picture of three cybertrucks. One os normal cybertruck and the two children cybertrucks are green and kinda look like dumpsters.
Cybertruck expert here, when they start having twins it, counterintuitivly, means their population is under stress.

You can't just go out and hire another Michael B. Jordan. There's only one, so you have to hire him. But I can make 100 Tilly Norwoods. That's literally the point of AI: allowing people who can't the ability to imagine they could, resulting in something no one wants to actually pay real money for.
Trump has no strategy to help the Iranian people build a legitimate state—in fact, he’s dismantling tools that could have helped promote civic engagement and build a united opposition in Iran, @anneapplebaum.bsky.social argues. theatln.tc/k99IcIzV
Donald Trump cannot be trusted to lead America into war. He is unaccountable to America. He is lawless. He only seeks conflict to cover up for his failures.
Congress must step up, reassert its power, and represent the American people.
We do not want another forever war.
Today’s military strikes on Iran — carried out by the United States and Israel — mark a catastrophic escalation in an illegal war of aggression. Bombing cities. Killing civilians. Opening a new theater of war.
When there are no consequences for the last bad thing, you'll get a next worse thing.
Statement from Rep. Ilhan Omar on Trump’s Illegal War on Iran “President Trump is unilaterally dragging this nation into an illegal and unjustified war with Iran without congressional authorization, without a clear objective, and without any imminent threat to the United States. This is a reckless abuse of power that puts both innocent civilians and American lives on the line for a conflict the American people do not want. “As someone who has survived the horrors of war, I know that bombs do not build peace or create stability. Military strikes will not make us safer; they will inflame tensions and push the region further into chaos. When we abandon diplomacy, we choose destruction.
“We know who will bear the cost of this decision: innocent civilians caught in the crossfire and our young service members sent into harm’s way. This is the devastating human toll of another regime-change war. Already, children and families are paying with their lives. There is no moral or strategic justification for this bloodshed. “The American people are exhausted by endless wars built on false promises and paid for with American and foreign lives. Congress must reassert its constitutional authority. We must vote immediately on the War Powers resolution authored by Reps. Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie. This unlawful operation must end immediately."
Trump and Congressional Republicans gave ICE $75 billion to wage a campaign of terror on American streets.
Meanwhile, Republicans cut funding for child care, health insurance, and hospitals.
i saw a tiktok about how wanging chung in childhood is a sign of outdated gender norms and i can't stop thinking about it
The danger in trying to do good is that the mind comes to confuse the intent of goodness with the act of doing things well.

I have yet to see any evidence that there is a market for AI-generated books outside of people being tricked into thinking they are not AI-generated books. AKA, it is a project of scamming and deceiving people, and really should be treated as fraud

Most of the footage you see from ICE observers in Minnesota comes from the core cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. I talked to observers in the northern suburbs, who say they're taking on the same mission in very different conditions. (1)

"By the end of the two-year period, 94% of participants reported they were housed."
A million pilot programs show the same thing: when people are given enough money to afford housing, homelessness ends.
Other supports matter, but housing comes first. Not policing. Not moralizing. Homes.
*sigh* here we go again. Your phone is not listening to everything around you 24/7 for advertising purposes. *If* you have voice activation on for the assistant, the mic is listening for the activation phrase: the processing power for listening for a single specific phrase is much lower.
Abolish ICE.
There’s no reforming it.
There’s no compromise.
There’s only one way to rein in ICE’s terror campaign. Abolish it.
