If someone online can ruin your day with a throwaway comment, you desperately need to understand discomfort tolerance and consciously, systematically build that shit. Also! Stress tolerance is such an important skill that having a learning disability in that area is a major symptom of a whole lot of other disabilities/mental illnesses! Struggling with it is a huge part of life! It sucks! Am I saying everyone with misophonia needs to listen to chewing noises all day? No. But you need to find ways to tolerate it enough that you don't treat others like shit if they make a mouth noise near you. No, you don't have to read the fic with your trigger tags. But you do need to be able to handle scrolling past the tags without being upset. It is hard! But not having it also makes you so so so easy to manipulate. That grandma is racist AF because her mom raised her to be uncomfortable around black people and she never fought that discomfort. Trans people make so many cis people uncomfortable and that discomfort turns into bigotry real fast. Letting your discomfort dictate your actions and beliefs about things is a great way to become a terrible person. Learn. Discomfort. Tolerance.

Hey seriously, literally in the bills it says they'll also use identifying information, such as your age data for "other purposes". That means your data goes into a government surveillance database. This would be for ANY *OS*, which is the thing your fucking PC runs off of.

This is me Grimimic being kicked out of weightgaming. Probably for being an asshole.

I'd like to start this off by saying that I am not mad or upset; I just want everyone to know where I am and what has happened to me. I also don't want anyone harassing Grot or any of the mods about this. We all just want the funny fat game website to do good. Some of you may already be aware of this, but as of 3/17, I have been banned from WeightGaming. I'm not disputing any sort of punishment. In the past, I've bullied the AI games on the forum and fought with AI devs over gamejam participation. I'm sure I do deserve some sort of ban, but I'm not exactly sure WHY I've been banned specifically because I've not been contacted by ANYONE on the mod team about anything, and I only found out when someone in my Discord pointed out how I'd been banned on the forums and kicked out of the WeightGaming discord. About an hour later, I got an email from Patreon saying that I had been banned from supporting WeightGaming, and that my payment from this month had been refunded. As of now, I still haven't been contacted by any of the staff, and from what I've heard, any comments asking about me have been "removed for my privacy". I'd reach out, but I honestly don't think anyone wants me to. I've been with WeightGaming since before day 1. Kilif, the founder and original owner of WeightGaming, saw my very first GUT demo on a thread in BBWChan back when they called me "mrpgpersonguy", and the game was still "currently unnamed". The day WeightGaming came online, I was the 4th or 5th account to join; since then, I've competed in 3 jams and judged multiple others. I was very invested in the state of the community as a whole. I've also been very vocal about my dislike of AI, and the state of the gamejams, it's what I personally believed was best for the site. I was told that if I had a problem, I could make a thread about it. This was the start of the "Enshittification Tread": something that most people who used the site had some sort of opinion on

So, while I don't dispute that I've been a problem (because I've DEFINITELY been a problem), I haven't used the forum or the Discord in months, which means, as of recently, I haven't been around to cause trouble; to the best of my knowledge, my removal was due to discourse that happened quite a long time ago, since nobody has been forthcoming about the reason. As far as I'm aware, my games are still up and people can still comment on them. What started as a fun hobby I do for fun has quickly turned into something I have to do every single damn day for money, because things like dog medication cost 300 damn dollars a month! According to analytics, the bulk of my traffic comes from WeightGaming. In all likelihood, I won't be able to prop myself up on my DA and Bluesky accounts alone, due to their rather low follower count. It's a very real possibility that being removed from WeightGaming is going to badly hurt my finances, while I struggle to get the same amount of traffic the forum once afforded me. TLDR: I got banned from WeightGaming; no one told me why; I'm probably going to struggle to pay bills for a while.
