No one owns the air but we can own what we breathe out. Here’s what I found at the Petroglyphs Provincial Park visitor centre last weekend:

Amazing work 👏 Just sent in my donation.

Cleaning air that is used for breathing isn’t hard. What is hard seeing so many repeatedly Covid-infected people, especially those who would otherwise never smoke cigarettes, act like it’s okay to breathe this air while outdoors or camping all weekend. The worst is seeing this normalized for kids.

Folks need to stop associating outdoor air with fresh air. This is the new normal for Ontario with smoke in every direction. Parks across the province are full for the long weekend with not a single mask in sight. #DiscoverON

Lottery? No thanks. I get enough of a dopamine hit refreshing the Ontario Parks reservation portal. I had nothing booked at this time yesterday and I now have all three days covered for the long weekend #DiscoverON

Glad I brought my favourite pyjama shirt along for the trip.

Saw no masks while up in Northern Ontario over the weekend. Luckily, not even the porcupine cared for mine.

I mask on trails because I never know who I might end up sharing the air with.

Saw a group of three in high quality respirators on Highway 400. Since my windows are tinted, I picked the perfect moment to get directly beside them to roll down the driver’s side and show off a beloved black CAN99. Masked joy ensued. Such a wholesome start to my weekend.

That was what I thought until I recently got my own antibody test. bsky.app/profile/n95k...

My elastomeric‘s makeover is a mixed success. The nice thing is that everything can easily be peeled off and redone since I used hot glue. Wore it to a “masks requested by artist” concert yesterday but walked out because there was ZERO ventilation/filtration in the space with barely anyone masking.

Open source medical care is the future as Western doctors become incapacitated with repeat virus infections as collateral damage in the ongoing pandemic disinformation warfare. We will have to adapt from trusting others to ourselves as social welfare systems continue to break down.

Today I had a mechanic warmly shake my hand while thanking me for being one of the coolest people he’s met after I finished replying to his comment that I look better without a mask. I love breaking barriers while advocating for good health!

Anyone who claims to be a #Novid should be getting regularly tested for N protein antibodies. Yes, you’re right that clean the air works but arrogance can get to all of us. Knowledge is still power.

Now they’ve had another smoky summer and growing risk of bird flu on the horizon during ongoing “post-pandemic” theatrics. I don’t see this getting any better 💔

Exactly what it sounds like. This is what happens when humans who think Covid is inevitable and “mild” mingle with unvaccinated creatures. I quit riding a little over a year ago bc hearing the coughing with all the other signs of the pandemic was just too much for me to keep enjoying myself.

Coughing horses at the Caledon Fair. Are we really okay with this?

Since the start of Covid, I’ve been consistently upgrading my mitigations as time goes on. We need to spend more time fearing airborne hazards instead of the engineering marvels used to mitigate them.
Part of this means wearing an elastomeric more often so I gave my GVS Elipse P100 a makeover today.

I should clarify that I put fans on windowsills to draw air into the negative-testing side of the house. I also slept in N95s and quarantined myself.

Another person who was exposed to mom for the same length of time as I was prior to knowing she was infected used a Metrix to test negative.

Mom got infected despite being in a fit-tested N95. I immediately isolated her to a sectioned off area of the house with high CFM purifiers on max. The rest of house also had purifiers 24/7 with MERV-13 as a furnace filter. I would open windows on my side to draw in fresh air for positive pressure.

Yes, my mom was infected last summer at her workplace. She was also testing frequently using FlowFlex and got an instant positive after suddenly becoming symptomatic. The rest of the household never tested positive. Even tried testing the dogs. I kept serial testing myself for a while too.

Was I recently infected but never tested positive on Pluslife despite combined throat-cheek-nose swabs? Was I infected a long time ago and just happen to be an odd case out? How do I not have long Covid with how hard I’ve been pushing my heart these years?
