A snowy sidewalk. Along the right there is a line of footstep impressions in the snow. On the left there is a line of small bird footprints.
Someone walked their bird this morning?

A close up of knitting showing the live stitches on the cable. In the middle, a larger hole between stitches indicates an accidental yarn over increase.
And why is there a hole hereπππ
A piece of knit fabric made from a dark brown-grey yarn. A few inches under the live stitches, an orange stitch marker holds a loose stitch to keep it from unraveling.
Sometimes knitting is fun and relaxing.
Sometimes, I keep dropping my god damn stitches! And while doing garter stitch! Agh!
Looks great! I like the color combo
Obviously the real plan is no govt but please ignore that for my meme
I find knit socks to be more noticeable than mass manufactured socks, in terms of feeling them while you're wearing them. That's not a bad thing for me, but if you're already sensitive I don't think I'd recommend it.
Better to spend your time on something you're more sure you'll love, imo
Highly recommend knitting!
Something like a sampler scarf could be a good first project; it'll walk you through a few stitches and you won't get bored of doing the same thing for 3 ft.

She's too convenient for trekking around the city to spin at parks, so i think I have to keep her π
Maybe if you pay attention when the Folds ship out, there might be an uptick in other eew resales π€
Anyone have good #textile or #fiberart history and archeology book recs? π§Ά
I've already read Women's Work by Elizabeth Wayland Barber, and have Worn by Sofi Thanhauser on my list. Hoping to grab one or two more when I order Worn.
Skeins of yarn laid side by side. The yarn has orange, peach and brown sections in each ply, which come together to create a lot of variation in intensity and color
A close up of the yarn showing how plying has intermingled the colors.
Spent yesterday plying up some handspun yarn and trying to avoid anything else.
I've also seen a total of 1 (rough shape antique) come up for sale in my area over the course of a few months, so resale isn't very likely.
The Kromski Fantasia in black is my dream aesthetically.
I'm waiting on my tax return to set a budget, though. Thats when I can really see what options I'm working with.
The fold kickstarter was what sent me down this train of thought π it seems wrong to just upgrade for size when I could go for a fully different experience
Two bobbins full of spun singles resting on top of a swirl of unspun fibers. The fiber is dyed in brown, orange, and peach tones.
I've been spinning yarn on my EEW nano e-spinner to convince myself I don't need to buy a treadle spinning wheel. (It's not working)
On the other hand, it can also back fire and fill feeds with stuff they don't care about.
Like how a baseball player with the last name Crochet clogged up all my fiber art feeds for weeks.
A sleepy brown tabby laying on a blanketed lap. In front of him is a hand holding knitting needles and a cake of black yarn.
Cozy late night knitting. I think he appreciates that I'm on a small piece and not flopping a whole cardigan back and forth.
A graph with the x-axis "time/number of generations" and y-axis "population size." The line grows exponentially for a time before reaching a "plateau phase" where it curves repeatedly above and below a dashed line labeled "carrying capacity"
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who remembers this graph from HS bio classes. Humans will (or, quite likely, already have) surpass the carrying capacity of our environment. We should expect population decline, and prepare for it.
Unfortunately we are stuck in the capitalist game instead.
The audacity was right! its done!
Wish I had thought to add some extra length, but overall a very fun knit!
A brown tabby cat sitting on a gridded blocking mat.
He thinks he's helping
An unfinished fabric collage. It is a ruffed grouse made from fabrics of many patterns sitting on a blue flower background
An unfinished embroidery of an American Robin. Its orange throat and head are filled but its wings are the outlines of feathers
The top half of a person's head. They are wearing glasses and have a mole plushie sitting on their head. The mole is made from grey faux fur and has pink feet and nose
A diagonal picture of a person wearing handmade stone green dress pants and a matching stone green vest
Here's some old/WIP pics you won't see anywhere else for my pinned πͺ‘ The two on the left are most recent and I'm still working with the collage style

An in-progress brown wool knit vest, with the body being made of a basket weave texture stitch.
I started knitting the Korshavn vest about a week ago.
I currently have the audacity to think I might get it finished and blocked before xmas/hannukah day 1. We shall see.
A Mario toy priced at $19.99 hanging next to a Luigi toy from the same line with a sale tag priced at $9.99
We said "free Luigi." Target said "best we can do is half off."
An amalgamation of every "the bachelor" star

Here's two shirts I upcycled and spliced together. It was very simple for a first customization project but I'm really happy with how they came out! #sewing
I have a feeling this will happen a lot.
My fitbit can automatically track exercises if it thinks I'm working out for 15+ minutes.
It thinks I was on the elliptical earlier. I was actually winding yarn onto a cone.
If this truly is a conspiracy scapegoat situation, they really should have chosen someone less likeable.
A person bundled up for winter, with a red hat and red and green scarf. The scarf is pulled up so it sits under their glasses and only their eyes are visible.
I keep meaning to take cute stylish pictures of my finished woven scarf. Unfortunately it's below freezing and this is how I'm wearing it...
Two knit socks in stripes of yellows and oranges alternating with stripes of purples and blues. The socks are lined up to demonstrate that the warm colors on one sock line up with the cool colors of the other.
Third pair of socks off the knitting machine, and my self striping yarn made some wonderful opposites!
