Coming home after a trip and lying down in your own bed again after a long time away is quite literally one of the greatest feelings you can experience.

Sitting on the balcony with my feet propped on the concrete ledge, looking out over the apron and runways 08L + 08R at KATL. A wicker table next to me has my iPad playing some chill tunes (Tokyo Tea Room), a glass-bottle Modelo, and a Publix sub in the wrapper.

Sometimes it’s the simple things in life, y’know?

Totally forgot to post these the other week, but I literally want to spend an entire day walking around Austin just hunting for all the murals and street art in that city. It’s freaking awesome and was easily top-3 favorite things I experienced while there.

Back at my old meditation spot… for being so far from my actual home, this place still has a certain cozy feel — even after all these years.

It’s interesting to sit and reflect on not just what this spot has seen me through, but the ways I’ve changed over time through it all. Food for thought.

For context, there is an 8-post Tesla Supercharger 5 minutes away from me. The closest IONNA stations are 25 minutes away on the opposite end of the city.

Literally the only time I *won't* go to IONNA is when my employer is paying for my charging on the clock and I can't drive across the city.

I loooove juicing up my (leased) Model 3 at the local IONNA stations purely because of the Alpitronic stations.

My (not?) hot take is while Tesla might be the "winner" in terms of sheer number of available locations, IONNA cleans their clock in every other way and I vastly prefer them over SCs.

Tesla is allegedly looking into adding Apple CarPlay support as of a few months ago, but only because they're definitely not in panic mode trying to reverse their sales falling off a cliff.

Except the difference is that I'd never hit the skip button when Two Weeks by Grizzly Bear comes on.

As such, I’ll keep this iPhone Air around to stay up on how iOS evolves (and because the hardware is beautiful; I wanted it for my collection alongside my Apple Watch Series 0)… but the chances of it becoming my primary device over the Razr are slim-to-none.

We’ll see what WWDC brings.

This list likely isn’t even complete, I just haven’t bothered to continue thinking about what else annoys me with iOS vs. Android.

There are many things about iOS I *do* like (especially compared to Motorola’s… quirky… builds of Android 16) but some of the “icks” are complete dealbreakers for me.

I bought an iPhone Air 2 weeks ago for giggles bc I was able to get it for half off.

The hardware is incredible; it has genuinely made every other device feel like a brick to me.

But damn, iOS is annoying as ever. I literally managed to write two pages of grievances about why I can’t main iOS.

I’ve also largely avoided watching YouTube Shorts. On the off chance I do click on one (or any kind of short form video), I generally find them overstimulating, dumb, annoying, or all of the above.
