Hm…my first instinct is to agree. But also I’m in full support of boycotts and strikes to protest all of this stuff, so that feels like a double edged sword.

I think success looks like solidarity. It looks like my social media feed telling me who I should collaborate with for local action, or a larger boycott. It is a reminder that we have allies who want to take that first step toward resistance.

You think there are people engaging in today’s boycott who are also planning to buy a Tesla? I very much doubt it.

US citizens clearly aren’t ready to take to the streets…yet. We also realize things have gone deeply wrong and action needs to be taken. I hope this is the start of a bigger resistance. We need to start somewhere.

There are a million reasons to call our reps right now, but when I called Padilla's office the staffer I spoke to had no idea that some Deaf federal employees have lost access to ASL interpretation, and that the White House has stopped providing ASL.
