We need to approach things (like youth social media use) from multiple angles.

I know banning things doesn’t get rid of things. But let’s be clear: if alcohol had been legal for me to purchase at 16, I would have drank it WAY more than I already did. It was good that it wasn’t as readily available AND I would have STRONGLY benefitted from more sober third spaces/activities.

Honestly why not both? Why not hold the companies to higher standards (and bigger penalties) AND fund creation of more third spaces, including digital ones?

Okay but that's like at least enough to feed 6-8 people so if they all split the cost, would be anywhere from $22-30 per person, which is kinda typical of stadium food. Not very practical, though.
