Doug Ford has had numerous opportunities to drop the tolls on the 407 and has refused to discuss it. He is now offering it as an election ploy. The problem is that over the past 7 years he has proven that he never keeps his promises.
He never should have made this deal in the first place. Tearing it up is purely an election strategy. If he wins, I have no doubt that contract will be signed again without any regard for the people of Ontario.

those who do the importing pay the tax
they then pass it on to consumers who buy the stuff.
goods from CA/Mex/PRC will get more expensive.
Oh, and countries will retaliate.
