We were incredibly lucky to hear from Prof. Gunilla Eklund on how the European Commission translates research into policy; and to hear from biofilm-expert Dr. Katherine Baxter who is working on an exciting NASA project!
The MUAMRC aims to bring together the AMR community on the island of Ireland. We had incredible abstracts from AMR in hospitals and migatory birds, to interpretation of disk tests and CPE in Irish cattle. Here are just some of the incredible speakers.
A huge thank you from the team for all of those who joined us two weeks ago as we hosted the third annual MU Antimicrobial Resistance Conference (MUAMRC)!

On behalf of the team, we congratulate Shannon Carter who graduated with a Masters by Research earlier this week!
Shannon's thesis explored antimicrobial resistant bacteria in hospital sanitaryware and bloodstream infections.
We wish you every success in the next steps of your career, Shannon! ๐
Ready to welcome our attendees at #MUAMRC today!
Joining us today for MUAMRC? Look out for our wobble boards and the infamous DANCE ball located just outside Iontas building.
We look forward to welcoming you soon!
