Jay Bhattacharya has ordered that a paper showing the effectiveness of COVID19 vaccines in preventing severe disease and hospitalization be suppressed and hidden.
This man has been crying nonstop about political censorship for 6 years.
But he’s the one who is actually doing it.

There's no legal basis for these boat strikes, and US officials involved in them should be prosecuted for attempted murder and murder. The OLC memo green-lighting the strikes is still secret, but there's nothing it could say that would make these strikes lawful. www.theguardian.com/global-devel...
He’s such a classic dumbass angry old man whose knowledge calcified decades ago and whose prejudices have become his entire personality.
Right now, a landlord can raise the rent by 100%, even more, and force a small business out overnight.
It’s time to pass the Small Business Rent Stabilization Act to stop pillars of our communities from getting priced out.
“Attorneys representing immigrants held at the ‘Alligator Alcatraz’ detention site alleged… that guards beat and pepper-sprayed detainees after a protest over lost phone access — allegations they argue show state and federal officials defying a recent court order protecting detainees’ civil rights.”
Péter Magyar, who unseated Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán Sunday in a landslide, shared a bombshell with reporters that the outgoing leader had diverted taxpayer funds to bankroll the American Conservative Political Action Conference. trib.al/ct7GGV3
This week is the first at the Daily News since Heath Freeman's Alden Capital laid off our entire print production staff.
It's embarrassing to open the paper we work so hard for each day and find mistakes like this.
Is this the level of editing New Yorkers can count on going forward?
Not sure how we shame Heath Freeman into selling the Daily News, but I'm open to all options. New Yorkers and Newsers deserve so much better.
So I want to come back The Times' coverage of Grand Army Plaza because you can see the way "but both sides" infests news coverage of safer streets.
Since this morning, the following was added to the rewrites of this story:
15 years ago Joseph Alexiou was the guy saying no one wanted to rezone Gowanus. Now he’s saying you can’t redesign Grand Army Plaza
A clear PR stunt from a "Doordasher from Arkansas" who was also a Doordasher from Nevada when they lobbied for the company last year

the fuck is the literal Secretary of State and supposed national security advisor doing at a moment like this
Yeah, this isn’t journalism, @nytimes.com. “Marathon” isn’t even in quotes. What editor OK’ed this lie?
I think we are far beyond the point where a serious person can plausibly claim that the immigration courts are offering a fair adjudication consistent with foundational principles of the American legal tradition. www.nytimes.com/2026/04/11/u...
Not once in this story does @politico.com mention that US factories employ ~89,000 fewer employees than a year ago.

Zero percent chance they reconsider.
Which is a stain.
The publicly-funded Tommy Thompson center at UW-Madison is paying propagandist Rufo a similarly exorbitant fee for a speech this spring.

New: 150 unionized ProPublica workers are on strike TODAY over AI, layoff protections, wages, and more.
They're asking readers to not visit ProPublica or engage with content on other platforms. It's the first work stoppage of its kind at the newsroom.

Anthropic's new model Mythos that's going viral and freaking people out reportedly has 10 trillion parameters and a 100 million token context window. This is an absolutely absurd model size that makes it completely impractical for any sort of public release any time soon.
“A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again.” We cannot move on from this threat, even though Trump didn’t follow through this time and may never do so. He must face the consequences and the U.S. must reckon with the fact that we elected the person who made this threat.
Reminder: The mere threat of a genocide was immoral, impeachable, unconscionable, abhorrent. Trump is still an absolute madman and danger to all of us, and must be removed from office.
The correct response to this missive is Two Weeks to Impeach & Remove. Anything else is aiding and abetting these crimes.
Completely understand people's desire to use favored acronym for Trump's predictable threat-withdraw pattern but hard to imagine a situation in which its less apt. Threatening war crimes whether immediate or on time delay is a war crime.
Republican leaders are a cancer that has to be eliminated from American society.
Congress cannot wait until Trump’s deadline to find out if he was merely bluffing about committing a genocide in Iran. The statement itself is impeachable. The threat to do war crimes is impeachable.
That’s the best case. The worst is he follows through.
He must be stopped. He must be removed.
