found an annoying bug in react native today, if you use the useColorScheme() hook, it stops updating when you hot reload (requires a full restart of the app to start getting updates again) :/

The blur views have some flicker issues but overall it’s coming together nicely! 😎

Landed at LAS and somehow I ended up taking a train from terminal 1 to terminal 3 (following signs for baggage claim) only to discover my suitcase is in terminal 1?? now I have to take a shuttle (which is every 15-30min) to terminal 1 just to get my bag 🤦‍♂️

alternatively each platform could have its own reporting system and list of blocked users, which would be more private, but it puts a lot more burden on platform creators and (potentially) duplicates a lot of the same data

yeah that’s a good question, and I’m not sure of a good answer

ultimately if someone does bad things through one platform should they potentially be banned from another? maybe there could be some kind of global reporting system where each platform decides what to do with the info?

bsky currently only has 3 messaging options (everyone, people you follow, and no one) which I think should probably be fleshed out a bit more

I guess it depends on what you mean by moderation here

even with e2ee you can still report an account and (depending on the scheme) maybe even verifiably leak a dm (i.e. report a particular message and prove that they sent it)
