ESIL-ICC Event - Artificial Intelligence and International Criminal Justice: From Evidence to Ethics On 6 March, the European Society of International Law (ESIL), in collaboration with the International Criminal Court (ICC), held the joint conference “Artificial Intelligence and International Criminal Justice: From Evidence to Ethics.” This landmark event — the ICC’s first academic conference and the first joint initiative between ESIL and the ICC — brought together judges, scholars, and practitioners to examine the growing impact of artificial intelligence on international criminal justice. The discussions addressed key issues including: -AI in international criminal investigations -Fair trial guarantees and algorithmic decision-making -Ethical and regulatory challenges for the future of international criminal law Organised by Ganna Yudkivska, Iulia Motoc, and Gocha Lordkipanidze, the conference featured contributions from leading experts and reflected the importance of these questions for the future of international criminal justice. This recording captures the day’s discussions and reflections. ESIL wishes once again to express its sincere gratitude to the ICC, the speakers, and all participants whose contributions made this event possible.
