We're not saying that the MRC staff drink a lot of tea but....

'A problem solved'

Why is #NationalTeaDay a month before National Biscuit Day? Everyone knows you can't have one without the other!

On my way to Winchester to talk to @unison.org.uk retired members AGM about the history of the union. There will be a little bit of Thatcher, quite a lot of Bickerstaffe and lots of activism!

I want to visit BoH to see the church but now I also want to get a pint in the White Swan while I wait for my train home

Such a wonderful story. You can buy a Live Departures Board for £300, but British Rail can't afford one for Barton-on-Humber Lincolnshire, so there's now one in The White Swan opposite

An illustration of a Georgian manor house in the mid- background. An ominous black cloud directly above the house. A tree lined avenue on the far right of the illustration. A central pathway leading down from the property with figures along the route including a male figure in the middle of the pathway pushing a wheelbarrow. Two female figures -adult and child- to the left of this figure looking on at the workman. A large tree to their left.
Legend at the bottom of the illustration indicates this is Baskerville House, Easy Hill, Broad Street.

On a train to Manchester and I feel like I am the only person not heading that way for the Manchester marathon. I am going to drink wine and chat in Didsbury.

Photograph of two men working a massive computer the size of a room. One bloke is fiddling with knobs on a three sided desk console. The other has opened a door and is looking confusedly at wiring.
