graph showing decreasing immunization rates among kindergartenders in Red states

Vaccination rates aren’t just a personal choice, they determine whether outbreaks happen.

• Polio: ~80–85% vaccination needed to prevent outbreaks
• Measles: ~95% vaccination needed

Once coverage drops, children become vulnerable.

When vaccination rates fall, outbreaks follow.

This expands a similar purge recently at the Naval Academy library, in Maryland. Last month, civilian Navy officials, following orders originating from Mr. Hegseth, pulled from shelves books including one that critiqued “The Bell Curve,” a 1994 text that argues that Black men and women are genetically less intelligent than white people. But the academy kept “The Bell Curve” itself on its shelves.

You’re allowed to argue that black people and women are genetically inferior. But you’re NOT allowed to argue they are NOT inferior because that’s divisive. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/09/u...

This #GoldenLoopholeAwards thread for #TaxDay2025 is great satire—hilarious yet deeply disturbing. Kudos to @Trillions_Trump for laughing us into painful truths. Let's #TaxTheRich and stop the #BillionaireTaxBailout

🗣️ Please share this call widely to support early career opportunities for folks in biobehavioral medicine, health psychology, or related disciplines! The ECEB is a great way to gain experience that is often not emphasized in grad or postdoctoral training. #healthpsych #affectivescience #psychscisky

New Publication! As a Black and Latino professor of public health, this work is deeply personal. When I was a student, stress was constant—and culturally relevant mental health support was rare. #MentalHealthEquity #FacultyOfColor
