Hey #Medsky don’t forget to follow along and celebrate the accomplishments of our new colleagues!
Congratulations Class of 2026 on matching into residency!
We use a different algorithm to filter content.
Using the #Medsky hashtag will add posts, along with a large catalog of medical terms to catch content from healthcare workers, posting links to medical journals also adds posts.
I’d previously asked @bizargomez.bsky.social to make the banner for @latinsky.social, so it’s an absolute pleasure to work with him again for @medsky.social (and revive a couple of the same characters).
He’s great work with as well! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a commission.
A doctor is in a clinic room. She has curly black/brown hair and holds her stethoscope up to the chest of her patient, an older man with a wide brimmed hat, his wife stands behind him offering support and placing a hand on his shoulder. In the background a nurse reviews the chart.
Special thanks to @bizargomez.bsky.social for our spectacular new account banner!

Now is a great time to subscribe to @medsky.social, which will let you see the medical specialties of accounts across the Medsky network, as well as moderation labels that identify medical misinformation!

Community moderation is how we create safer spaces online for everyone.
Medsky community, you're our eyes & ears. If you see misinformation, report using the "Misleading" option & @medsky.social will review & label according.
Remember: don't feed the trolls, just report, mute/block, & move on.
These moderation decisions are not taken lightly, are based on established science and advice of medical experts, and taken to prevent the spread of misinformation that is harmful to the public.
Thank you to the members of the Medsky community who submitted reports.
Vaccine Misinformation label, with toggle freature highlighted. There is an option for "Off", "Warn", and "Hide"
You also have the ability to hide these accounts entirely using the "HIDE" toggle on the label menu, or deactivate the labels using the "OFF" toggle.
As with the "Medical Misinformation" label, labeled accounts will be added to the Misinformation Blocklist.
This will prevent accounts from appearing on the Medsky feeds, and is available to the general public to follow at their own discretion.
Label definition for “Vaccine Misinformation” on @medsky.social “A Vaccine Misinformation Content used to dissuade the public from vaccination using information regarding vaccines that is false, inaccurate, or misleading according to the best available evidence at the time. Vaccines are a safe and effective preventive treatment, and immunization currently prevents 3.5 million to 5 million deaths every year. Misinformation related to vaccination leads to vaccine hesitancy which fuels disease outbreaks. Always consult a physician or other healthcare provider before making decisions regarding your health based on information you read on the internet, and always check credible health resources online prior to sharing information that may contain misinformation.”
Blurred out posts from accounts with the anti vaccine label
In light of the ACIP decision regarding the Hepatitis B vaccine and the identification this morning of multiple automated substack accounts sharing vaccine misinformation, we have introduced a “Vaccine Misinformation” label into our label catalog.
This label will blur posts from labeled accounts.
Tomorrow, the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (made up primarily of vaccine skeptics appointed by RFK Jr) will be voting on whether to continue recommending the Hep B vaccine for newborns. This will likely be contentious.
You can follow updates tomorrow with the ACIP feed.
We've also updated our moderation list. You can now find it on our main account.
This list will be used to prevent bad actors from appearing on the Medsky feeds. If you'd like to prevent these same accounts from appearing on your skyline, you can subscribe to the list below.
