I want to surround myself with misfits and people who are unapologetically themselves.
it feels like it's becoming a more and more rare trait

THE PITCH:
You’ve spent your entire life in what you know as “the bubble”, a massive and massively underfunded, deadly city tucked away in the bottom of a forgotten crater-like ravine.
Above you, you see yourself surrounded on all sides by Astria, the “glorious” metropolis that only seems to serve to mock you by feeding off your struggle and suffering.
All of those at the top of the food chain live in Astria with no concern about people in “the pit” as Astrians call it.
Once a year the city of Astria will pay for the bubble to host a festival, it's considered your reward and a bonus for your continued efforts.
Everyone in the bubble typically chips in to help set it up, and it works well to boost morale as it takes place in the center of the bubble. The only spot to get substantial direct sunlight and the only spot with a full, natural, park.
This year as the time for the annual bubble pop festival comes things still seem rather bleak. It's the one time a year that people are supposed to drink and feel merry, but something ominous lingers over the population as they can all sense trouble in the bubble.

BUY IN: your PC was born and raised in the bubble ( or at least has been there for a substantial amount of time ) and is helping set up the day before the bubble pop festival.

I am fascinated by the amount of people who manage/own hotels being active in r/hotels
it makes sense, but it's still kinda weird to see

I'll be here for another 8 hours alone, with no vehicle, plenty of time to ponder my next strategy (or read more dragonlance)

the hotel I'm trapped in does NOT want me hooking up my switch
- the tv is mounted to the mall, in a way to make accessing the hdmi ports super difficult
- the remote doesn't have a source button
- the button on the TV instantly turns it off
- no other way to get to source

A bright full moon shines down on the Arakawa River, in Akabane. On this side of the river, a lone female figure carrying a child on her back walks down a short incline toward a single-story wooden house standing on the riverbank. Warm yellow light glows in the windows of the little house. Beyond, a small open wooden boat makes its way along the calm river, its cargo covered by a tarp, its pilots reduced to silhouettes in the gloom. On the other side of the river, more lights shine in the windows of houses, details of their shapes lost in shadows under tall trees. Above, a low full moon dominates the starless night sky, silvering tattered clouds.

The people who said we should abolish ICE were right. The people who said we should defund the police, were right. The righteous are always cursed with being too early.
