In his first 100 days, Zohran Mamdani has:

-Delivered millions in restitution for workers cheated by gig companies
-Cracked down on predatory landlords
-Launched the first stage of a universal childcare program
-Fixed thousands of potholes in NYC streets

This is what leadership looks like.

Remember when Farage attacked President Obama for interfering in UK politics? When Obama said that outside of the EU America’s trade priorities wouldn’t be with the UK.
Farage doesn’t have a problem with Trump interfering in a Hungarian elections!
Fascism is an international project.

Hungarian voters have the opportunity to inflict the second humiliation on the Trump règime within a week, following foolish interference in that election by Trump's henchman, JD Vance.

I just heard the most hypocritical, truth twisted word salad ever in my long years, delivered in the droning deceitful voice of J D Vance. If the US put that man anywhere near power through a democratic process, I fear it may be lost to in Europe 😔

At pre-election rallies in #Hungary, the crowd began chanting: #Russians — go home! The historic slogan "Ruszkik haza" emerged during the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 and was directed against the #Soviet occupation 👍

Donald Trump wants to spend $1.5tn on 'Defense'.

$1.2tn would provide Universal Healthcare.

No more stupid wars and no more poverty and death.

Get a President who will choose Healthcare and not War.

Holiday advice: It's pleasant to get a train to Europe. You just have to turn travelling into a core part of the holiday - lunch in Paris, dinner in Bordeaux, trip to Spain, week on beach etc. It's limiting, but very enjoyable & decent alternative to a flight you won't be able to afford by summer.

If we bought a few less bombs, we could probably afford nice things.

One thing I'd like to see from the next presidency would be to appoint a special commission to prepare a report on the actual cost to defend the United States from attack.

Not foreign wars.

Just the cost to defend this country.

Daily Mail front page attacking Keir Starmer for Donald Trump’s disgusting behaviour…

This is an extraordinary front page for a British newspaper to run. Donald Trump’s delinquency, derangement & imperilling of international security is somehow a stick with which to beat our own Prime Minister, who has negotiated the current horror show rather well. It is actually sickening.

MAGA holds a protest with a few thousand people in DC and they attack the capital and brutally assault police officers.

Millions upon millions of Democrats hold 3100+ protests nationwide without incident.

That tells you all you need to know.

Cap on overseas gifts risks Farage’s funding…

Extracts:

Political donations from Britons living abroad will be capped — a decision that could cut off Reform UK’s biggest donor.

Steve Reed, the communities secretary, said it would not be “fair” to continue to allow Reform to accept “gamechanging” donations from people based overseas.

Nigel Farage’s party accused Labour of “choking off legal funding for its main rival” after the decision, which limits donations from overseas Britons to £100,000 a year. Donations made with cryptocurrency will also be outlawed.

Both rules will take effect immediately.

Christopher Harborne, a Britishborn tycoon who lives in Thailand, donated £9 million to Reform in December, the largest donation to British politics from a living person. Harborne would be unlikely to qualify for such sizeable donations under the new rules, government sources said.

The restrictions were announced after a review from Philip Rycroft, a former senior civil servant, into foreign interference in British democracy.

Zia Yusuf, Reform’s home affairs spokesman, called Rycroft a “leftist political activist” and vowed to open an investigation into his background if the party wins power.

“This is a dark day for Britain,” Yusuf said. “Reform receives a large, perfectly lawful donation from a British citizen and Labour responds by rushing through a new law to prohibit him from making such a donation again. This is how fast the machinery of government moves when it wants to protect itself … This Starmer regime is authoritarian.”

Reed said that Rycroft was raising a “question of fairness”. He said: “Is it fair that a British national who chooses to live permanently abroad, who chooses to pay their taxes only abroad and not in the UK can make donations so big that they are game-changing for British democracy?”

It is twelve years since I pointed out to Nigel Farage that this description
of primary school children would include *his own daughters*. He already knew, of course, but many listeners didn’t. Goodwin is pursuing the same grift.

US striking Iran-aligned militia in Iraq, top US general says The United States has carried out ‌strikes against Iran-aligned militia groups in Iraq, the top U.S. general said on Thursday.

US forces are striking Iran-aligned militias in Iraq, expanding the conflict beyond Iran’s borders. Officials say the attacks aim to neutralize threats to US personnel, but they risk widening the war’s scope across an already volatile region.

Reform's plan for a 'British ICE' combines cruelty with stupidity

Project forward to 2036 under a majority Reform government and the picture darkens further. Britain would be smaller, older and whiter; more isolated from Europe; paradoxically, more vulnerable to foreign interterence and less able to fund its own defence.
The welfare state would shrink to a skeleton. Charity would fill the gaps.
Flags would proliferate; rights would not. The police and courts would be politicised. The BBC could disappear.
The NHS would survive only as a minimal safety net. Protections against discrimination would erode - you might indeed be sacked for being disabled.
Migrants and even their British-born children could find their rights curtailed unless they were deemed to
"contribute" sufficiently. Meanwhile, the wealthiest would enjoy a generous, low-tax regime.

“Rarely has a British political party unveiled a programme that combines cruelty with impracticality on such an extravagant scale.”

Chilling on Reform’s increasingly confident fascism. High on viciousness and greed. Very low on wisdom. A ruinous combination.
