I was born here, 1st gen Asian American. This country is all I've ever known and I never imagined I'd ever have to have a conversation with my kids about being careful about expressing their ethnicity.

1st Disney movie I watched on repeat was Sleeping Beauty. It was the only movie we had on VHS and I watches it every weekend. It was the 1st Disney movie I ever saw.

Now I'm playing it for my kids.

I have construction happening (new siding being installed). The men came up with this to prevent the ladders from slipping on the deck.

The ladder is secured by rope that's anchored to the deck boards.

I'm streaming cat videos while the kids and I play board games.

My child doesn't need to track their cycles while living with me. I experience PMS for them and can predict when it starts.

BTW, I had a hysterectomy over a year ago so *I* no longer have periods. But I still feel everything else.
