Front page splash, 1996, 'Massacre in Sanctuary.'

Seen today on a visit to Palestine House in Central London. From a time when collectively we cared about the killing of Brown people.

Catastrophically wrong and unforgivably dishonest about Brexit.
Catastrophically wrong and unforgivably sycophantic about Trump.
All the same dismal people. Doing such long-term harm.
Let’s never give them our time or our votes again.

Where are the Conservative MPs speaking up against Nick Timothy and Kemi Badenoch's defence of him?

What has happened to the party that not a single senior figure is now willing to stand up against this stuff?

Government to go “further and faster” in becoming energy secure The Energy Secretary outlines measures to protect consumers and make Britain energy secure.

This is cool. The Government is set to allow plug-in solar, low cost solar panels that families can buy at supermarkets and put on their balconies or outdoor space.

"In Germany over a million have been sold, helping households with energy costs and reducing dependence on fossil fuels."

Humans are not the only animals that treat each other’s injuries Many ant species do so too

It makes good sense that ants, insects that live in large colonies, place a premium on the well-being of others, notes one expert

The Ghosts of Colonialism Haunt Our Batteries With its cobalt and lithium mines, Congo is powering a new energy revolution. It contains both the worst horrors of modern metal extraction—and the seeds of a more moral economics.

One way to reconcile climate goals with the terrible toll batteries are taking on communities is simple, writes Nicolas Niarchos: We should listen to the people who live in the places where we get our minerals. https://bit.ly/4bNxCwE

Despite what you hear from fossil fuel-funded politicians, the U.K has just generated a record amount of clean, domestic wind energy.

Enough to power 23 million homes!

U.K decarbonisation policy is a recipe for energy security.

Andy Field, 61, an NHS doctor who said he
knew Farage well because they took the
same train to school, has similarly clear
memories.

"When I became a prefect, he [Farage] said,
Tll show you how to do it,' claimed Field,.
"He took me for a walk up to the lower
school playground, where all the children
from about nine years old to 12 would be.
And he singled out, completely at random, a
kid of Asian extraction, and just put him in
detention for no reason whatsoever. I was
flabbergasted, absolutely stunned. I was just
disgusted, really. No rhyme or reason, just
purely based on the colour of his skin.

Reuters reporting on what we already know - that Reform is accepting crypto donations.

As a former anti-corruption specialist, let me be clear. Crypto should be nowhere near UK politics.

The risks around anonymity, tracing ownership & manipulation of instruments are all good reason to act.

Camille Pissarro played a major role in developing impressionism, and was father figure to many impressionist artists. But, like many others, he sold little during his lifetime. Here’s his View of Studio, Éragny, Pear Trees in Bloom ■ Rue Saint-HonorĂ©, Afternoon Rain (1890s)

Tillbridge Solar Project development consent decision announced The Tillbridge Solar Project DCO application has today been granted development consent by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.

The UK's largest solar farm has today been approved by the government.

Tillbridge Solar Project in Lincolnshire has potential for up to 500MW of energy - equivalent for 300,000 homes.

I believe it's the 13th approval by this government for major solar and wind projects.
