What if this summer was the moment you stepped into the leader you’ve always wanted to be? Not the one always putting out fires. Not the one doubting every decision. Not the one carrying it all alone...
But the one who leads with clarity, intention, and grounded confidence...👇
That’s exactly why I’ve created The Summer Shift Coaching Program, a personalized, one-to-one experience to help product leaders and change-makers realign with how they really want to lead.

Leadership isn’t a title, it’s a practice. And sometimes, that practice gets crowded out.
But remember, Summer is a rare and powerful invitation to pause. To reset. To ask yourself, not just “What’s next?” but “What kind of leader do I want to be?...👇
To build it, teams need more than good intentions. They need clear norms, consistent structure, and leadership that values truth over comfort.
Because in a world where uncertainty is constant, the safest teams are the ones who speak up, not the ones who stay silent.
In reality, psychological safety is about honesty, not harmony. It’s the confidence to say “I disagree” or “I don’t know”, and to know you won’t be shut down for it.
It creates space for challenge, debate, and learning. And it’s what makes high performance possible...👇
Here are six of the most common misconceptions shared in this HRB article (hbr.org/2025/05/what...) :
1. It’s about being nice
2. It means always getting your way
3. It ensures job security
4. It requires sacrificing performance
5. It’s just another HR policy
6. It only works top-down..👇
Think psychological safety is about being nice? Think again.
It’s often mistaken for comfort, agreement, or job security, but none captures what it really means.
As the term becomes more popular in workplace culture, so do the myths that water it down or turn it into something it’s not...👇
What sets resilient leaders apart? They don’t try to be omnipotent. They get clear on what’s theirs to own, they influence where they can, and release the rest.
This is vulnerability in action, admitting you don’t have all the answers, but choosing to lead anyway.
But here’s the bigger picture: in a world where AI is transforming industries overnight, where global events affect your product roadmap, and where business “certainty” is increasingly a myth, trying to control everything is a one-way ticket to burnout.
It’s a beautifully simple tool that reminds us of a powerful truth: You can’t control the storm, but you can control your umbrella.

TLDR: In uncertain times, the strongest leaders don’t try to tame the chaos, they master the art of focused effort. They control what’s theirs, influence what they can, and stop pouring energy into what’s out of reach.
Enter the Sphere of Influence...
That’s why I started my CPO Coaching Circle. It’s a space designed for leaders to have honest conversations, real peer support, and meaningful professional development.

I read this article that said peer-to-peer mentoring has always been vital in developing and retaining effective leaders.
But if we all know it, why aren’t we all doing it?
Honestly, I’m not sure. But I know that it should be, and I want to help facilitate it...
In the article, they mention that some traps can include micromanaging and a lack of direction. So you need to bear those in mind too.

Empower others through trust and responsibility.
Use your time for high-impact and strategic work.
Develop your team’s capabilities and boost engagement and retention.
But this strategy comes with its own pitfalls, too..
I read an article on the topic that you NEED to read, by Jesse Sostrin. It emphasizes that effective delegation is a hallmark of great leadership.
It’s not just a way to get tasks off your plate.
Delegation is presented as a strategic leadership skill that enables you to...
TLDR: You don’t need to be involved in every detail of your organization to BE an essential part of it. If you try and do EVERYTHING, you’ll just end up achieving NOTHING.
I know it’s easier said than done for most senior leaders... (thread)
Over time, these influences came together to form the strategy you’re unconsciously running today. Even if it's not necessarily the 'style' you think you're following.
Is there a way to see it?
Yes, with the Leadership Strategy Scan, try it out.👇 www.kateleto.com/articles/you...
Here's a mindbender: You already have a leadership strategy (not style) that you didn’t design or probably even notice was forming.
It was shaped by:
👩🏫 Bosses you admired (and survived).
🏢 Cultures you thrived in (or escaped from).
🎭 Stories you absorbed about what a “good leader” should be...
Well, that’s exactly what the CPO Coaching Circle is built for.
Not mentorship. Not theory.
Real people. Real conversations. Real growth.
If you’re ready for that kind of leadership support, I’d love to tell you more.

✅ A circle of experienced CPOs who get it.
✅ A dedicated space for honest conversations, the kind that challenge you, stretch you, and help you grow.
✅ A coach who knows how to create a space where real leadership transformation happens.
And where do you find all this?...
❌ Don’t truly understand the unique pressures.
❌ Haven’t navigated the same board dynamics and political complexities.
Not to say a mentor doesn't know their stuff (they do!), but there is ALSO so much more you can learn from your own peers. Instead, what you need is...
Early in your career, finding a mentor is great advice. But when you’re the most senior product leader in the room, it starts to fall short. And why is that?...
Well, for starters, most mentors: (cont in thread...) 👇
This isn't about blame, it’s about bringing visibility to the hidden operating system that’s shaping how you lead.
That’s why I created the Leadership Strategy Scan, a tool to map your REAL leadership strategy across five dimensions. 👀 👇

Do you know what your leadership strategy looks like? Not your leadership style, but how you actually lead...
I see it all the time.
Leaders say they’re empowering, but their schedules are jam-packed with check-ins. They say they’re strategic... but spend all day firefighting. (thread)👇
It’s not just about strategy or frameworks.
It’s about sustainable leadership.
It’s about reflecting, recalibrating, and reconnecting with what actually matters, with peers who just get it.

Why does it happen?
Well it's usually because they don’t have space to pause, to reflect with others, maybe because you just don't have the professional support system available.
That’s one of the reasons I started the CPO Coaching Circle.
Let’s talk about the unspoken reality of senior product leadership: You handle a lot and you’re expected to drive outcomes, manage people, satisfy execs, and still somehow “scale yourself”...
But sometimes all of this non-stop responsibility and work can result in something called 'quiet burnout'.
