The tragic irony of the last few years is that, had the USG given Ukraine only a fraction of the weapons that they have expended against Iran in a few weeks (Patriots, Tomahawks, etc), Ukraine would have won, oil prices would not be skyrocketing and the US would be more secure.
Give your key defenses and fortress cities to Russia which has been unable to take them in 12 years of fighting, and then we who are acting to strengthen Russia will pretend to help you protect the rest of your country. This is shameful, rotten, and stinks of corruption.
While Moscow loudly supports separatist movements abroad,even mild calls for independence inside Russia can lead to prison. The Kremlin’s “self-determination” has clear limits.
Just ask yourself: how has the Kremlin reacted to secessionist aspirations in Tatarstan or Dagestan?
