Apparently the lower part of the stalk looks like a snake and "it scours and cleanses the internal parts of the body mightily" , also external applications will get rid of "cankers, and that flesh growing in the nostrils". If it's snapdragons I shall look at them with greater respect!
In my Culpepper's Herbal, he describes "Dragons" apparently these are so well known to everyone who plants them, they need no description. Has anyone got any ideas what they are?
