AAUP-OSU is in solidarity with the Ohio Nurses Association, who is standing with survivors & calling for the removal of Wexner’s name from the medical center & all campus facilities.

Did you get a Med Center umbrella in the mail? Bring it to the picket! And some red tape to cross off the “W.”

All four recipients have exemplified the activism that John McNay embodied. They have been tireless advocates for academic freedom, organizing/unionism, and quality higher education. Congratulations to Profs. Mockabee, Jani, Wagner, and Jackson on this well-deserved recognition!

Ohio State twice revises university policy on Indigenous land acknowledgements this semester Ohio State has twice this semester revised its policy on land acknowledgements, including whether professors can include them in course materials.

At least Ohio State continues to revise what was once an all-out ban on land acknowledgments, but it is far from enough. Most such statements are historical facts, NOT advocacy, AND they fall under the auspices of academic freedom. No other OH school banned them.🗃️ www.dispatch.com/story/news/e...

Spending Soars, Rankings Fall at New College of Florida Student outcomes and rankings are slipping at the liberal arts college while spending is up. Critics believe the college is at risk of implosion, and some are calling for privatization.

You'll be shocked to learn New College of Florida is on the brink of implosion just a couple of years after DeSantis engineered an extreme right-wing takeover

Fun fact: NCF's new overlords spend $134K per student (!!...the average at other FL publics is $10K) www.insidehighered.com/news/governa...

Teaching LGBTQ Studies in Ohio under this bill is a completely miserable experience. This is, of course, what they wanted.

Ohio's Governor is now lecturing universities about making our campus tours more "pleasant" to boost flagging enrollment. Uh, guy, the tours aren't the fucking problem.
