What an interesting idea! Great to see more people releasing their work in zine format.

These zines were the prompt for our recent BRUTAL Bristol exhibition. Buy them while you can!

More people visited than we hoped and our 4 walks sold out demonstrating how many people are interested in the city’s post-war architecture.

Back in stock for a limited time. After a very successful exhibition of BRUTAL Bristol I have decided to run a few more zines for those that missed out 👇

'Fascinating textures and abstract forms make car parks so interesting' Multi-storey car parks might not seem exciting at first glance but they're often striking examples of bold brutalist architecture

My pals @tom8enjamin.bsky.social and @eberlin.co.uk are putting on an exhibition about brutalist buildings in Bristol next week. I wrote a couple of things to help promote it, including this piece about brutalist car parks.

A big spiral multi storey car park on a city street.

I spent last night writing about car parks as part of the PR for an exhibition on brutalist buildings in Bristol that's happening in October. We do have some interesting ones. This one, on Rupert Street, is from 1960 and was designed by Swiss architect Rudolph Jelinek-Karl.

Not really Robert. Many of the exhibitors will be posting on social media and details should go out to people on the Modernist’s mailing list.

Would like to put something together about the history of Wyndham Court. It would be great to include a written aspect, possibly even interviews, but a bit out of my league.

Of course a Brutalism angle would be great but want to focus on community stories.
