Staring at this like old-school Ceefax P302 praying for a miracle that isn’t coming.

Linlithgow Rose win the Lowland League.

Having one of those horrible “your hopes are being raised just potentially to be dashed later” days in football.

In other news, if there’s a goalscoring opportunity in the 14th minute it’s probably better to just let it go in then get sent off and leave your team down to ten men for virtually the whole game, it seems.

Football is truly the master of building your hopes up and then breaking your heart.

Confusingly, this is one of the few that go down the west coast line. But thank you for the loan of your train station.

I mean, I get the wish to protect the history and architecture of Glasgow, but also the biggest train station in Scotland is shut until it’s made safe. So that needs done fairly swiftly.

Glasgow fire: Remaining section of Union Street building to be demolished Glasgow City Council said the decision was made due to public safety concerns.

The latest on that Glasgow Central situation here. I wouldn’t assume everything will be back to normal and all lovely by Monday given the work needed… www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Oh nooooooo.

It nearly caught me out so I feared I may not be the only one. 😬

I think the idea the UK does badly at Eurovision because people hate the country was proven wrong by Sam Ryder. I do fear, however, that if your reaction is “they’re not taking this seriously” with this year’s act then some people in other countries may feel the same …

I am assuming this is because Motherwell is a fairly small station which normally has a long-distance train stopping for two minutes rather than waiting around taking up a platform for half an hour or so getting ready to leave.

Glasgow Central's main station to remain closed until next week but low-level services resume A huge fire destroyed a neighbouring building but Network Rail staff believe the station has not been seriously damaged.

The latest, including what they need to do to reopen Glasgow Central fully, is here. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

The latest update on Glasgow Central is that low-level reopens tomorrow, high-level is shut for the rest of the week (realistically, probably longer).

Pro-tip if you normally travel from Glasgow Central high level and you’re thinking “I’ll just go to Motherwell, it stops there normally…” Just double-check, because I’ve seen at least one train leave from Edinburgh instead.

One of the biggest dangers is when someone writes a song they think will be perfect for Eurovision … often doesn’t go well.

Oh I’d have ended up stranded on more than one occasion as a result.

Might be worth Bluesky using slightly more neutral language in its version of the trending section …

Also to flag, I’m seeing many repeat misinformation offenders I remember from previous jobs taking an interest in this. So verify stuff before you trust it.

In the grand scheme of things it’s a small deal, but I am somewhat relieved not to be attempting to go down to Salford tomorrow…
