Well isn't this a much more pleasant experience! I'm on maternity leave, so had been feeling slightly disconnected from academia, but this is reminding me how social media used to make you feel part of a community.

Assume the Office for Students “bold and transformative action” means a) a lot less choice of institution for students b) far fewer opportunities to get a humanities education and c) mass redundancies across the board
