Alt Text via ChatGPT: A two-panel meme in the style of the “Drake Hotline Bling” format: Top panel: Drake turns his head away with a dismissive expression and raises his hand as if rejecting something. Next to him, the text reads: “Naming holes in golf.” Bottom panel: The same man now smiles and points approvingly. Next to him, the text reads: “Naming corners in Formula 1.”

It was shot with a Nikon D5 (last mfg in 2020) and AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED lens. Interesting to note because the earth is illuminted from light reflecting off the moon (the earth is actually eclipsing the sun), Cmdr Reid Wiseman had to use a shutter speed of 1/4 of second and ISO of 51200!

Amazing how many of us Gen Xers have some anxiety about space launches from the Challenger days.
This is why!

Cool project. Have you posted the code anywhere?
When creating a new account for a service, we're asked to enter our password twice to confirm they match.
Why do some sites allow you to paste the password the first time but prevent you from pasting the password from the clipboard the second time?
CBS turned their news operation into propaganda, kicked Colbert off the air for making too much trouble, and all that just to have Charles Barkley go on the air on one of their most-watched telecasts of the year and say this lmao
What’s that law about asking a question in a newspaper headline where we all know what the answer is? 🤔
I remember suffering the same fate as a Bengals fan in the 90’s. Occasionally a local radio station would but up enough tickets for the game to be broadcast locally.
I wrote a follow up to this post on what I think is a better way to represent a deck of cards. #fsharp

Ha ha! I saw that too. Looked like he was saying "Good car, good car. Such a good car" 😂
Glad the camera operator saw that as well
If you're interested enough to ask, then Yes! I'm fairly new but still enjoy it despite some of the kinks in the new regulations (rules). Every sport has something to complain about and F1 is no different. Here are some tips I documented on an old blog:

Are you referring to turn 16 at the Astemo Chicane? In looking at the 2025 circuit layout, it looks like they also used the first right hand turn off of 130R

Was it just me or did they not show any full onboards of drivers going through 130R during Qualifying?

Alt text via ChatGPT: This image is a high-contrast, collage-style poster for a Formula One race in Japan, using mostly black, white, and bright orange. Across the center, large bold text reads “JAPANESE GRAND PRIX.” The letters are thick and angular, colored in bright orange, and partially overlap the rest of the artwork. In the foreground, two Formula One cars race toward the viewer, angled slightly from right to left. They are colored in orange and black, with detailed tires and aerodynamic parts. The cars appear to be speeding, with motion implied by their angled positioning and textured lines beneath them. Above the cars, two drivers are shown from the chest up, back-to-back: The driver on the left faces left in profile. The driver on the right faces right. Both wear dark racing suits with sponsor logos, and their expressions appear serious and focused. Behind them is a large red-orange sun, centered in the composition, evoking the Japanese flag. The background is a layered collage of Japanese-inspired elements, including: A traditional pagoda temple on the left Mount Fuji in the distance A Ferris wheel Flowing, wave-like shapes and abstract textures These elements are rendered in a mix of fine linework and rough, etched textures, giving the poster a handcrafted, print-like feel. Near the bottom, smaller text reads: “Round 3” “26 / 29 March” “The Suzuka Circuit” In the lower right corner, there is branding for the McLaren Formula 1 Team along with a sponsor logo. Overall, the image blends motorsport action with Japanese cultural imagery, using bold color and layered textures to create a dramatic and energetic race poster.
