Playing “Indiana Jones and the Great Dissertation.” It’s the prequel game where he earns his PhD. The typewriter physics are 100% realistic. I’ve spent hours citing my sources

Do you think historians in the future will go “In the late 90s all the UK’s young adults went and did their gap years in Australia… because of Neighbours” I feel like it’s one of those truths we are still too close to see

I’ve met some lovely members of the chess community in recent weeks, working on a feature for Mensa. Love this screenshot with Bruce Pandolfini, chess teacher/writer/thinker who created most of the games shown in The Queen’s Gambit & taught the actors to play realistically

Why aren’t post offices mobile businesses in big lorries? Why don’t they drive from town to town offering services and collecting parcels — even doing deliveries?

A gallon of milk whose sell by date reads, "SELL BY OCT 23 1538" - Which would mean it should have been sold sometime around the final decade of the reign of Henry the Eighth.

Very happy to now be developing my economic history interest even more, volunteering at the remarkable Adam Smith Heritage Centre on the site of the great man’s original home in Kirkcaldy. Lovely place, mighty ambitions (+amazing views!) Really smart team behind it adamsmithglobalfoundation.com

I think modern computer software was a mistake and we should go back to our roots of developing for limited hardware.

The same amount of electricity that could power MS-DOS for a year is now used to ask Copilot how to save a Word document to your local Desktop instead of OneDrive.

A lot of older, Gen X people may be confused by the new AI story. Let me explain in terms you will understand.

This is like when the 48k ZX Spectrum came out and undercut the BBC Micro, except this time it's available as a free kit anyone can assemble and it already has The Hobbit installed.

I'm so chuffed to have the Aberdour camera back online again, as it was one of my favourite cams. The live stream is also available here too: www.fifeweather.co.uk/index.php/ab...

it’s bad and it’s gotten exponentially worse in the past 6 months. if you write anything involving deep research/old books/forgotten periodicals you’re probably noticing “wiki creep,” because it’s one of the few resources left standing. the internet as an archive is disappearing, has disappeared.
