Christopher Michael has been our theater teacher & Camden Drama Club director for SIX years. he is a full-time teacher & MFE59 member. he is the heart of drama club & invaluable.

last night the drama club from our North Minneapolis feeder middle school came to see 9 to 5. those children were in awe of their peers & couldn’t wait to be members of Camden Drama Club and be on our stage.
this cut is truly devastating at so many levels. the community divestment is criminal.

today was Camden Drama Club’s closing performance of 9 to 5. all our productions are completely student run from front & back of house.
as of right now, Camden Drama Club will not exist next year as theater has been cut from our North Minneapolis HS. this is truly devastating for our community.

An important gloss on this for outside-of-staters: this is the DFL faction that stood by and did nothing when our cities were occupied. They are attacking the politicians who risked their safety daily to protect my neighbors and expanded our imaginations about what elected leaders could do to help.

i honestly don’t want to hear a peep out of any republican about school safety. they are trying to push the DFL to fund armed security for private schools at the expense of our public schools while supporting a masked & armed secret gestapo attacking & assaulting our educators and children.
