Some people think politics is a team sport. Carney isn’t the Leafs, folks. (If he were, I would understand the sentiment)
That’s wild for a relative newbie. His processing game is on!
Good news.
But in all honesty, you need to unlock articles that you post here.
Liking your images. You process in Pixinsight?
What for?
When I processed this exact image, I believe I spent about 3/4 of the time on Navi. Masks on masks on masks. It took a number of tries to get what I wanted and I’m still not 100% satisfied. She’s a bit difficult.
The Lobster Claw and Bubble Nebulae. Photo taken with a 71mm refractor and the ZWO ASI533MC cooler astro camera.
“I have no idea how that hasn't resulted in anti-competition lawsuit yet.”
Low friends in high places.
I’m currently trying to talk my wife into taking a vacation in the Australian Outback. She thinks I’m kidding. I’m not. As an inhabitant of the Nothern hemisphere, I envy those skies.
So a minute has passed…as has this non event.
A simple trick that I use to subdue a magenta tint, particularly in stars is to invert the picture, reduce the green channel and then reinvert.
Give it a minute. Too soon to call it one way or the other.
Fighting fascism with fascism is an interesting strategy.
Nah. That’s punishing the SK workers because of a shitty leader. Let them sort it out. The whole thing stinks of desperation on this dude’s part.
I strongly suspect that this won’t stand for very long. He’s facing corruption charges and possible impeachment. Members of his own government have already come out against the move.
Markarian’s Chain, a cluster of galaxies featuring “The Eyes”
Your data looks fine but what processing app are you using? Final product is a bit too magenta.
Make sure that you run BlurXterm before stretching.
It’s a good shot. Needs some green screened out in the processing.
Did you use mosaic mode? If memory serves, Andromeda doesn’t fit the FOV on the S50
There’s a table below the trend lines showing data going back over one year.
Seriously America. WTF are you doing?
Image of the Pleiades star cluster, a group of hot blue stars regularly spaced in an almost geometric pattern.
This is my shot of the Pleiades that I used as my profile pic.
BTW, did you know that Pleiades in Japanese is ‘Subaru’ ?
Yeah. I do use filters but nonetheless it turns an otherwise B3 sky into something like a 6-7. Also at my latitude most good southern targets (think Rho Ophiuchi) lie pretty close to the horizon, so I’d pretty much be shooting into the light.
What do you want to bet that you’re « the suspicious activity » ?
Sorry. Same thing happened to me last summer. The beach home owners were complaining about break ins. I lost the Southern skies to sodium lamps.
I don’t even bother doing astrophotography in my home town (Bortle 9!). I’m fortunate enough to spend summers in a Bortle 3-4 region. Unfortunately the local municipality stole the South from me by installing sodium lamps by the beach. Sigh.
Excellent shot and processing!
The Wizard Nebula. NGC 7380
This cluster of stars is about 85k light years distant.
Photo taken with a 71mm refractor and a cooled colour astronomy dedicated camera. About 150x 180second subframes stacked to complete this picture.
Post processing was performed in Pixinsight.
