My piece for Wednesday's @scotnational.bsky.social is about this poll. I make that point. @ballotbox.scot has a few choice words to say about this poll.

Register to vote Register to vote to take part in elections in the UK. Includes how to get on the electoral register and how to update your address on the register.

You now have less than 12 hours to ensure all the independence supporters in your life are registered to vote. Data suggests 20% of the adult population of Scotland are either not registered to vote at all or are not registered at their current address. Register to vote -

I wish when the Scottish press touted the results of opinion polls like today's More in Common poll it would point out that polls which base their results on having the Scottish Greens stand in every constituency are necessarily inaccurate. The Greens are standing in only 6 constituencies.

Labour’s Holyrood campaign lurches from one crisis to another There’s less than three weeks to go until the Holyrood election and the wheels have well and truly come off the Labour campaign. With the headlines being dominated by the Mandelson story &#82…

My latest blog piece, less than 3 weeks from the Holyrood election, Labour's campaign lurches from one crisis to another. Sarwar has been forced to claim that a vote for Labour in Scotland is not an endorsement of the Labour leader or the Labour UK Govt.

All the best to them. It's a stressful and expensive process but they'll get there in the end.

This is truly desperate stuff from Sarwar. He knows Labour's campaign is failing badly.

I got that impression too.

She did a piece for The National when the transphobic Matt Walsh film was blocked, saying she was standing up for lesbians & demanding it be shown. She didn't mention Walsh's homophobia, racism, misogyny, or Christian nationalist motives for the film. It was anti-trans that's all she cared about.

We got him citizenship after Farage started threatening to abolish indefinite leave to remain and replace it with a 5 year visa you need to be a high earner to get. We decided not to take the risk. We'd both prefer Scottish passports.

Yes, I'm the same. I met her at some indy events after the referendum where we both were speaking. But even I don't care about her feud with Sturgeon. As you say, it comes across as petty and mean-spirited.

He's American. He moved to Scotland from the USA after we got married in 2018.

For all the publicity it will certainly receive in the indy and SNP hating Scottish media, the cynically timed publication of Joanna Cherry's book will have minimal effect on the Holyrood election. Not as many people as she thinks care about her feud with Nicola Sturgeon.

My husband's British passport arrived today. It's been almost eight years since we first applied for a spouse visa for him. The whole process has cost over £17,000 to get to this point but his status in the UK is finally Farage proof. Another new Scot who will vote for independence.

Maybole Castle, restored with traditional cream coloured harling.

Maybole castle has been restored with traditional cream yellow coloured harling. Restoration is still underway. The plan is to restore and renovate the castle gardens and open them to the public. The castle is community owned, once renovation is complete it will be used as a community space.

The naysaying scaremongers are out in force following the publication of the SNP manifesto. Apparently price caps to ensure that basic essential food items are affordable is going to cause famine.

Labour election communication for the Scottish elections reading A message from Anas Sarwar

Labour election communication for the Scottish elections reading A message from Anas Sarwar

This came in the post, paid for by Labour's corporate donors. I'm sure inside it says - "I did not try and do a deal with Reform. HOW DARE YOU!!" On the other side it's promising the change Labour promised in 2024. So no change from the lying then. It went in the bin unopened.

Labour is trying to spin the Sarwar/Offord story as the SNP choosing to believe Offord over Sarwar, but that's not right, it's a matter of believing numerous press reports, including one from the Labour supporting Daily Record, over Sarwar. Offord merely confirmed what was reported elsewhere.

With list seats it points to an SNP majority - 67 in total. That said, I still hae ma doots about the accuracy of this poll.

Sarwar has said that Offord is lying because Sarwar wasn't in Paisley that night, he was in a Pizza Hut in Woking.

New poll predicts winner in all 73 Scottish seats – see the map A NEW poll has predicted the winners in all of Scotland’s constituencies – suggesting Scottish Labour and Reform UK could pick up several seats.

I'm no polling expert but this new MRP poll of Holyrood voting intention looks like bollocks. There is no planet on which Strathkelvin and Bearsden is a contest between Reform and the Lib Dems. This poll also has the Greens standing in every constituency.
