register via https://dgfi.org/gleichstellung/lady-mary/

25.3.2026, 4-6pm, Prof. Dr. Sarina RAVENS, Hannover

In this series of lectures, the DGfI Commission on Gender Equality and Career Development provides a forum for excellent female immunologists. They will share their exciting research, but also talk about their experiences in forming a career as women in STEM (=MINT).

Chair: Prof. Dr. Stella Autentieth

About the Speaker:

Prof. Dr. Sarina Ravens is Professor of Systems Human Immunology at MHH. She leads a junior research group at the Institute of Immunology and is a member of the Cluster of Excellence RESIST - Resolving Infection Susceptibility. Her research centers on the development and functions of γδ T cells in infectious diseases, with a particular emphasis on early life events. Her group aims to define immune mechanisms and identify immune markers that predict susceptibility to infection across early life. She is a role model for women in immunology, highlighted by the 2024 EFIS Ita-Askonas Prize.

Spokesperson for the Commission
