it's a real sore point

I get way too many updates and emails from what is effectively my till. I just need it to open a drawer and register a sale. Why is my "account manager" asking for regular catchups.
Why are they inviting me to an ai workshop to manage my calendar. This is ridiculous.

A guy walked in to the bar today and said "not much going on in this town is there?" And buddy, at 4pm on a Monday in rural NZ, if there's something "going on" its best you don't know about it.

Westport, methport , the town that flooded. Uninsurable the doomed town. Bla bla bla. I am lucky enough to live in Christchurch and have a holiday home in westport to run away too and I heard the same crap about Christchurch after the quakes. Just like the storm that brought the rain this will pass. Life can be hard and I have plenty of scars physical and emotional. From dumb accidents to a divorce they have all left a mark but westport is the 1 place that makes me smile 😃. The gateway to the north. Heathy trail. Oparara arches. Punikaiki and who doesn't love a sunset at the seal colony. Westport you are amazing and pretty awesome people. Kiakaha stay strong never change and keep making us smile

Everyone this is bad because a car goes faster, but it's actually bad because it runs like a dweeb.

I started watching it on streaming a while back and just kinda got bummed out because my brain was stuck trying to work out genuine effects of the era and what was added.

Episode 215: Bob Lazar and Westall revisit | The Hypothetical Institute Luke and Cam are here to talk about UFOs. It's a bloody disappointment to be honest, but the show is good. But then we talk about Warnie, who is never a disappointment, even in death.

We're talking about Bob Lazar and Westall. Two much hyped UFO things, that are paper thin and offensive for how much media they get.

But then we talk Warnie, who is never a disappointment, even in death. Stream here, or hitting podcast apps soon.

I sleep so well on flights... but also since a head knock stuffed my sinuses, snore massively. Last flight the lady next to me legit did a "stretch and hit" to wake me up. Real humbling stuff.

The internet is a lie made up by big tech. None of you exist. Everyone knows this.

I barely ever see anyone on the trail other than a handful of walkers and ebikes. So it's a hater free zone.

Also before anyone scolds me, I ride exclusively on a trail to and from work so there's no traffic.

Lost an earbud while riding in the rain. It was one of the old gen Samsung ones so the audio was bad and I didn't notice.

Anyone got tips on wireless buds, that are suitable for riding but also not $400. I only really use them for podcasts so don't care too much about quality.

‘I wished for death’: Sexual violence in Israel’s prisons is an ‘organised state policy’
Palestinian testimonies reveal how sexual violence, including rape using objects and dogs, is approved by 'highest levels' of Israeli leadership

‘I wished for death’: Sexual violence in Israel’s prisons is an ‘organised state policy’ Palestinian testimonies reveal how sexual violence, including rape using objects and dogs, is approved by 'highest levels' of Israeli leadership

The testimony here about sexual violence by Israel against Palestinian prisoners is so beyond the pale everyone must see it.

It is so bad I can’t in good conscience share a quote other than the headline, which somehow manages to understate the horror within.

I had a crazy week, and it was very nice to sit on the couch and watch heaps of good music on my day off.

So I can also recommend: music. It's gonna take off.

Watched a bit of Coachella today. Bits or whole sets from: Ceremony, Die Spitz, 54 Ultra, rusowsky, Geese, Mind Enterprises, Fuji Kaze, Giveon, Addison Rae, David Byrne, Justin Bieber.

But the highlight by far was Luisa Sonza. Brazillian pop, super high energy, tight band. Lotsa fun. Can recommend

I'm really looking forward to Die Spitz and Giveon.

(Also the official app has the times all wrong for our timezone.)
