Unless we're dumping on X and Musk (and we absolutely should be), the "Nazi AI" is a footnote. The headline is "LLMs are trivially manipulated by an unseen hand that can change how responses work after testing and promoting an app to prod and there's nothing you can do to mitigate this." 2/

Google can now read your WhatsApp messages, here's how to stop it Google has released a feature that allows Gemini to access third-party apps, such as WhatsApp, even if you've turned off Gemini Apps Activity. Here's how to prevent that from happening.

3/ Yes, John Nunn IS one of my #chess favorites, but 1001 Deadly Checkmates is excellent in every way: real, well-organized positions ranging from easy (but not absolutely basic) to skull-busting, and a scoring system for data tracking nerds like myself. All #chesspunks should work through this one!

I love 1001 deadly checkmates. I’m halfway through it and it is very high quality, both in selection of puzzles and the solutions provided. I also like that there is a range of difficulty that is well adjusted.

OpenAI calls DeepSeek 'state-controlled,' calls for bans on 'PRC-produced' models | TechCrunch In a proposal, OpenAI describes DeepSeek as 'state-controlled,' and recommends banning models from it and other PRC-affiliated operations.

My contempt for anyone involved with this drivel knows few limits. Conflating issues and fear mongering because a Chinese company dared to publish an actual open model:

And trying to talk about copyright after training in Libgen.

Hypocrisy, lies, grifting :-(

Why Bother? What Running Taught Me About Improving at Chess (and Life) - Next Level Chess By GM Noël Studer Why bother learning a new skill, especially when you are super busy? You might be surprised with the benefits, though.

As I am a recreational runner my self, I totally agree with GM Studer #chesspunks

At some point, you have to realize that the more you talk about someone, the more importance you give them. I wish we had a week of silence not to hear about Musk, Trump, x, or Meta. 🙃
