I'm producing the film this year, so I'm hitting the ground running. Raising the rest of the money, hiring cast and crew, and launching into production in just a few months.
It'll be a fast turnaround. But I can't even describe how excited I am.
This week, I turned in my QUEER HORROR screenplay to my consulting producer!
Next step: Critical feedback from her, my mentor/script consultant, and other friends I trust to critique my writing.
Almost immediately after this, I'll be rolling into fundraising—and editing the next draft, of course.
The more I publish, the less I look. It's an important part of the author growing process 😅

Every time I encounter "writer's block," it's because the material I'm writing is too close to home.
I pull away when the work is emotionally difficult.
For me, overcoming writer's block usually involves self-reflection and healing.
