Another 20 mins of #Merlin #birds for North East England. I saw bullfinch male and female & greenfinch but guess they were super quiet 🤫 did recording another session with a goldcrest & parakeet (yes we do have them).numbers recorded in the uk around 3000 but I didn't press save 🫣😱

Inspired by @skwinnicki.bsky.social I sat in my garden in the North East of England for 20 mins and started recording the birds on Merlin. Ignore the Mallard it was a dog barking 🤣

Check long grass, bramble patches and hedges for hedgehog nests before mowing or strimming to avoid harming wildlife.

Please check for Hedgehog nests before strimming! They like to nest in long grass, under hedges and amongst overgrown vegetation, so they are at risk of accidental injury or death if these areas are strimmed. 🦔
