Something very funny about the first non-Gregg Wallace Masterchef series having a chef paying tribute to the not-at-all-problematic author H.P Lovecraft

His full name is David Lubega Balemezi. "Lou Bega" is just his little bit of moniker.
I'm not sure my French is good enough to understand the full subtleties of Libé's review of the Michael Jackson biopic

This is my poster for Doctor Who: The Gunfighters. It features the First Doctor holding a gun, coloured in blue and red, with little figures behind him, coloured in blue. The background is a light yellow. On the top left, it says "All he wanted was a dentist. He got a shootout instead." On First Doctor's body, it says "William Hartnell, in a episode directed by Rex Tucker", "The Gunfighters - a Doctor Who original", 16mm - Black & White" and "With Peter Purves & Jackie Lane". On the bottom, it says all the other cast members in the episode. My watermark is on the bottom left corner.
NEW ARTWORK!
It's been 60 years since Dr. Who visited Tombstone for a dental emergency and what he got instead was a gunfight. Yeee-haw!! 🤠🐎
My group of artist friends wanted to make posters for The Gunfighters for its anniversary, so I had to join and make one! #DoctorWho #WilliamHartnell
Holy shit!
Photo of Star Wars character book. Heading: “YODA - legendary Jedi master” Image caption: head has been nearly bald for centuries”
“You’ve written image captions before?”
“Yep.”
“And you’ve definitely seen Star Wars?”
“Absolutely.”

I'm sorry but I still refuse to believe this man is only seven

If you're in Stockton or its surrounding Teesside suburbs, then why not come over to ARC on Wednesday 29th April for a screening of Graham Williamson's new short 'Song of the Suburbs', followed by a Q&A and screening of Billy Liar, hosted by me? Tickets here: arconline.co.uk/whats-on/bil...
Really excited about this run (the last?) of On the Time Lash. And the fact this photo exists may suggest where our sympathies lie...
This @recordstoreday.bsky.social I’m remembering THE GREATEST and much missed record shop of all (don’t @ me) SOUND IT OUT. Here’s a scene from the film I made there.

The Disney Doctor Who deal continues to be so funny to me. Imagine being Disney and having negotiated an agreement with one of the enduring classics of sci-fi and kids entertainment and your reward being 'a lore-dense introduction and fish erotica'.

“Of course in the old days Bluesky was only on for three hours a day. We used to get dressed up in our Sunday best to log on to it. Then when it shut down again we’d all stand up and sing the national anthem”
Star Trek: Lower Decks' mad wee corner of the franchise is the only place in comics where big daft fanwank moments like Captain Dr. Pulaski and Captain Mr. Worf teaming up to help out the Cerritos actually work. I'll miss them!
It's very funny that O'Brien gives up the cello when he gets to Deep Space Nine. After all, nobody's hosting a string quartet recital at the local watering hole-cum-gambling den and hologram brothel.
Yeah the impact of the new uniforms makes an instant impression, probably because everyone's holding themselves more comfortably.
The shift in quality between this and Evolution is night and day. (A resolved writers' strike and fully formed script helps) Bev's back and her relationship with Wesley is the heart and soul of this perennial Star Trek story of tech mishaps and discovering new life and civilisations.
Reached 'Shades of Gray' in my TNG watchthrough. Dismal. A flaccid Riker-centric flashback episode that's borne out of necessity is still rubbish, no matter the behind the scenes issues. Very funny that Pulaski tries to save Riker by reminding him of all the women he's shagged so far, though.

Last week it was the Carroll crater, this week it was the ending of the most recent For All Mankind. Clearly Mondays are for crying about space.
Ha! Let’s start a crowdfunder to get him to come here and campaign for Farage in 2029.
