It’s deep reddish-brown with glossy, slightly charred edges from grilling over open flame.
A bit like a cross between jerky, and BBQ pork ribs.
In my AI-fueled fever dreams, I wonder if perhaps one of the famous Singaporea bakkwa brands should sponsor a NASCAR team?

I ask again: Why not?
Why is Singaporean "Bak Kwa" not popular in America?
Bakkwa is a very yummy delicacy in various parts of Southeast Asia.
Flat slices of pork, usually rectangular or slightly irregular, about the size of a postcard.

What does the newly announced US OFAC General License, for Iranian oil cargo on the water, mean for these ships and their cargo?

That is a novel track for any USN ship arriving at the Singapore Strait.
A message intended to be seen?
ESB ships have been involved in previous seizures of sanctioned ships that made a run from the Venezuela Quarantine.
See the latest UANI (on X) Iran War Shipping Update for details.

Arriving in Singapore Strait
Noteworthy that she sailed on the western side of the Malaysian Eastern Out of Port Limits (EOPL) ⚓anchorage area, where around ~30 Dark Fleet tankers, and at least 13 🇮🇷-flagged tankers, all laden with 🇮🇷 🛢️ wait.

Finally!
The 2024 INSURV report has been published.
Note it is dated 1 MAR 2025, the date it was due per Title 10 US Code §8674.
But only published OVER one year and two weeks later.
Just think how hard the fleet has been worked since the data from this report was collected.

Additionally, the 🇮🇷-flagged merchant fleet, which could be considered legitimate targets in certain conditions, according to the Laws of Armed Conflict and Naval Warfare, continues to sail here normally.
Are Coastal States concerned about this?
Check the UANI (on X) #GhostArmada list of Dark Fleet tankers that routinely support this illicit trade.
Dark fleet tankers, even falsely-flagged, stateless vessels, sail with impunity in the sea lanes here, in spite of the IMOHQ (on X) Assembly Resolution 1192 (2023), calling for action and cooperation on the risks of the Dark Fleet.
And 🇨🇳will send 💰 IRGC.
➡️It's business as usual for 🇮🇷 in the sea lanes of Southeast Asia.
HILDA 1 is laden with 🇮🇷🛢️and heading for the Eastern Out of Port Limits (EOPL) anchorage off Johor, Malaysia. Once anchored here, she will conduct a Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfer of US-sanctioned🛢️to another Dark Fleet tanker.
That Dark Fleet tanker will then carry the 🇮🇷🛢️➡️🇨🇳.

HILDA 1 is sanctioned by US OFAC and was previously documented by the 🇺🇳UNSC Sanctions Committee and Panel of Experts, which means she could be considered UN-sanctioned under UNSCR 1737 and related resolutions, since the "snapback" mechanism on 28 SEP.
Then HILDA 1 started broadcasting on AIS on 14 MAR, at the top of the Malacca Strait, shortly after passing the Six Degree Channel between Between Aceh, Sumatra (Indonesia) and Great Nicobar Island (India).
At some point after that, she departed Bandar Abbas, snuck out the Strait of Hormuz in the dark, and then appeared on AIS on 7-8 MAR, in the Indian EEZ near the Laccadive Sea.

If she loads any cargo in Kuantan, it might be subject to scrutiny by the US, for under the Laws of Armed Conflict and Naval Warfare, merchant ships of a belligerent state conducting "war-sustaining" efforts, can be liable to be attacked as

Kuantan Port's bulk cargo terminal is a key import and export terminal of various bulk cargos, including iron ore and others.
She reported a draft that indicates she was laden when departing Iran.
She passed the Sri Lanka on 6 MAR, and had a short logistics rendezvous with a 🇱🇰support vessel from shore.
She passed the Singapore Strait on 13 MAR and arrived in Kuantan on 14 MAR.
