The Strokes closed out their Coachella Weekend 2 set by playing “Oblivius” for the time in a decade.
They performed it in front of a video montage taking aim at the CIA, US actions in Iran and Gaza, and more.

With the help of the Sandy Hook families, The Onion has reached a long-awaited deal to take over InfoWars.
We've enlisted the help of @timheidecker.bsky.social, who will be InfoWars' Creative Director.
Please stand by for more.
Some actual good news.
Three panel comic. Panel 1: scene from the movie Aliens; Ripley is in a mech suit and delivers her iconic line: “get away from her, you bitch!” Panel 2: the xenomorph queen lunges at Ripley in the robotic suit and they engage in a fight. Panel 3: later, the xenomorph queen is standing in the shower, mid wash. She says, “‘it takes one to know one, honey.’ That’s what I should have said.”
The rest of the world should probably collectively stand up to the U.S. right now, tbh
Happy Easter.
Had no idea the insane talent and legendary work going in what seemed like your standard office space from the exterior. Was like a portal to multiple other dimensions.
That's home. That's us.
This image of home just came down from the Artemis II crew.

The whole DLSS 5 fiasco made me think a more ethical route might be for developers to make and inform the models from their own high-quality offline character renders. You might get a substantial upgrade in character visual quality and believability, which I do think is a decent goal for some games.
Ethical AI is tough to talk about because of the prevalence of unethical uses.
No doubt!

"Make people dependent enough, and then make it shitty"
Still giggling at this hilarious video from the Norwegian Consumer Council "A Day in the Life of an Ensh*ttificator" which seems a perfect embodiment of Silicon Valley and tech generally these days

David Borenstein: Mr Nobody Against Putin is about how you lose your country... When oligarchs take over the media and control how we can produce it and consume it, we all face a moral choice. But luckily, even a nobody is more powerful than you think.
The is the federal government telling news stations to provide favorable coverage of the war or their licenses will be pulled.
A truly extraordinary moment.
We aren't on the verge of a totalitarian takeover. WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF IT.
Act like it.
"The game team is more valuable than the game itself". I agree, but big publishers have consistently shown even good teams can be treated as consumables in the name of profit chasing. It's not a mistake, it's a strategy. They know enough young talent is always looking to accept their shitty terms.
This is hilarious.
Also, completely enraging.
Just so we're all clear, the strategy is "make shit up" when you don't know the facts or don't like them, and who cares who gets hurt.

SHOULD THE U.S BLOT OUT THE SUN AND USHER IN AN AGE OF ETERNAL DARKNESS? - Gallup 2/20/26-3/5/26
NO - 41%
YES - 38%
UNSURE - 21%
Yeah, this is disgusting... and completely expected at this point
They claim to have been planning this for months, to allegedly keep Americans safe, but had no plan to evacuate any Americans from the region because it happened too quickly.
Weird.
A cartoon from the 1950’s that’s more relevant than ever 💔
Completely insane
I’m actually not sure we can come back from “prediction markets for war crimes”, as a society. I think this might be it for us.
who made this
