So, I'm doing that thing everyone hates and asking for help. Advice and tips on the process are also more than welcome and much appreciated, but if anyone happens to have some spare change kicking around so we can move somewhere that doesn't want us (mostly me) dead, that'd be incredible.
Since he's a) big and b) brachycephalic (smooshed face), transporting him by plane is, apparently, a whole thing. A whole ~$5k+ thing. It's not just a matter of booking him a seat on the plane (I wish), or even in cargo, but via live animal freight, which requires a separate service.
And even if I were to sell everything, it wouldn't even vaguely cover the most expensive (somehow) part of this whole ordeal: moving my dog. This guy.
I have most of the pieces in place, or on their way there - job, visa, etc - but an international move is expensive, and unfortunately, most of my stuff isn't going with me. I plan to sell what I can, but that isn't going to put much of a dent in the cost of essentially starting over.
