Something like Peter Hujar’s Day (which I loved but don’t think of as a Biopic) is more interesting to me than a movie about the life of Peter Hujar
For example

Willie Nelson and Gary Busey in Barbarosa, 1982. It's actually an underrated film. The scenery and cinematography is beautiful and Gary Busey, Willie's co-star, is very good. What I like best, though, is that it's not a formulaic western but, rather, the storyline is pretty original. Check it out!
“The heat would be off for months at a time,” Mr. Hell recalled, “but then they would forget to collect rent, so it kind of balanced out.”

Friend of mine was an usher at the Edina 1-2-3 movie theater, and Prince snuck in late for Planes, Trains, and Automobiles and left early.

Using Gobo Tickets for the first time (for a Nimbus Theatre show) and have to say that it's the smoothest, least annoying ticket system I've used in a long while: tix.gobo.show/events/event...

Pretty good life to write "The Gambler" for Kenny Rogers when you're 23 and get that mailbox money. www.the-independent.com/arts-enterta...
Mamdani hasn't had time to really think about all that space he now has, because he spends most of his time at City Hall and around New York City. He tries to keep a semblance of his old life by getting around the city on foot, by bike or train. "If you spend every single day driving around in a tinted window security detail, you will have a very specific view of the city," he said. "You actually meet other New Yorkers and you break out of the bubble that so many have come to expect of politics, where politicians only seem to be spending time with other politicians or the people who donated to make them politicians."
I'd say that this applies to anyone traveling in a car in any city. Being in a car versus walking, riding, or taking transit fundamentally changes how you view a place and your relationship to it. I wish more leaders set this kind of example.

You’re driving through the night in the dark down the interstate, and then all of a sudden there’s:
Fog overtakes the Chicago skyline, as Studio Gang's St. Regis Tower dissolves into a weird greenish aura.
"The masters of war pretend not to know that it takes only a moment to destroy, yet a lifetime is often not enough to rebuild. They turn a blind eye to the fact that billions of dollars are spent on killing and devastation, yet the resources needed for healing, education and restoration are nowhere to be found." -Pope Leo XIV

A few dozen parents and educators are outside Sip and Savor at 53rd and Hyde Park Blvd for a “parent take over” in response to a “teen takeover” that’s been rumored to be happening in the neighborhood later. Most of these people are wearing shirts from Kenwood Academy.

Needed new laptop & I went from a 13” to a 15”. I hate it. If you use a laptop for *writing*, 13” is the best/ideal/correct size. I’m not editing Kieslowski films or designing Art Basel posters. Nor am I trying to cart around a fucking Gutenberg press. Lesson painfully learned. Prayers appreciated.
