There's a scene that shows the moment she first gets to play a guitar amplified, after years of practicing unplugged. It actually made me a little emotional, even though it wasn't necessarily meant to... The animators really sold the unbridled joy she felt in that moment.

She's more flawed than one may realize from just watching the show. She's sulky, arbitrary, and capricious. Her opinion of herself is so astronomically high that she doesn't even feel the need to put it into words. But her heart... her passion... there's really nothing else like it.

Though I'd already read the game event that it's based on, today I finally watched the Raana-centric section of the recap films, as part of my research. And the main thought it's left me with is... that I really love this stray cat.

I find the semicolon to be the most useful. Often I want to place two sentences side-by-side to imply cause and effect, rather than explicitly joining them with a word like "because", which can feel a little artless.

She is very polite.

Today, I've been getting acquainted with one Hatsune Miku.

I've written a great many things under this pen name, but I'm not sure that any of them can hold a candle to this post.

I firmly believe this is the closest thing we get to an outright declaration of love within MyGO.

There's such a beautiful symmetry between Tomori and Raana... One knows exactly who she is and what she wants, but doesn't know how to fit into the world around her; the other sees the beauty that surrounds her so clearly that it hurts, but can't find a shape for herself that can fit within it.
