The saying I live by…this too shall pass! Got to love an Anglo Saxon Minecraft Castle!!!! Not been in since the refurb!
Love David Byrne….hope the kids at Coachella were paying attention and appreciated the genius they were witnessing last night

Honestly my mother is on another level!!! She lives for today!!! She has holidays booked for years ahead. I admire her optimism! X
Just been watching the La Spezia/Bari comparison with my mother (who visited Bari last October…mother will hate me for saying this but she is 85!!). She was living telling about the same places you’d explored and the crypt where St Nick is/was!!! I would like to be exploring Puglia at her age!!! X
It’s been phenomenal watching your journey! Have taken all the tips about how and where to leave the Schengen area! I hope you’ve both had the most incredible time xx
Have the most amazing time. I look forward to the podcast/film of your latest adventures. Xx
2/2 …my favourite post visit quote was that a Year 10 boy stated… he hadn’t cried for years, but the performance made him cry! The power of music, staging and an incredible story!
What an amazing quote…after a week immersed exploring Odysseus and Eurydice, with gold sprayed apples and deciding Hades smelled of cigarette smoke and a particular flavour of Lynx (a year 10 child’s view) - we took 40 autistic students to see Hadestown…1/2
What a joyful thread! I say this as a bereaved dog owner who over the last 15 years, replaced 4 sofas, spent thousands on fencing to contain a compulsive Door-Dasher! Had to put top locks on doors as he could open them by bouncing on the handle & spent the equivalent of a mortgage on doggy daycare
Just watched your gorgeous film! So many things to comment on…the pasta looks incredible however. And I’ve probably mentioned it before but my current favourite Italian escape on C4 is this gem, set in Bari…the city looks incredible in this too!

Oh wow! I thought she was Yugoslavian. But the Yugoslavia of my childhood!!!! Love new knowledge! Xx
Have you had the Norman Wisdom conversation with any Albanians!! To be filed under the unexpected cultural icons section!!!! Although almost equalled by the comedian Tony Hawks and his Top 20 hit there!!!
Amazing. The photos looked fabulous. ❤️ the dogs x
Sound fabulous. Still Albania???
Ireland match was fun to watch! Getting tenser as the afternoon goes on! Wales playing incredibly positively at the moment! I adore the French team! #compromised
The complex interrelationships in the rugby explained through cocktails - Negroni with a Welsh Gin base! Cin Cin my Negroni admiring friends - @rickturner.bsky.social @pgjonesvenice.bsky.social #ForzaAzzurri #dewchymlaencymru
Norwich’s WiFi is so poor for parking apps - so cash is the only alternative - scrabbling round, upside down in a car is a real thing here xx
I believe I may have some coins somewhere in the footwell of my car! Last notes I used were Euros!!!
I give up…what is this?? Just put the animals on the bank notes that no one uses, lose the over use of Elgar…and stop with the bizarre Farage-esque mumbling about the Good Old Days! 😫
Noooooooooo!!! No ice skating! Oh that’s sad x
Oooo - I have been watching Lolita Lobosco on C4/Walter - and as well as enjoying a competent female lead - Bari is portrayed so positively! It is on the “must visit” list!!! I will be enjoying your adventures…it’s a long time to the summer! X
I have enjoyed the level of “Norfolk” detail in the news reporting - with a level of precision that Alan Partridge would approve of - that he was held till 7pm at Aylsham Investigation Centre! Aylsham never makes it into any news outlets! And the Italians are loving this!!!!
I should just give up!
Sadly due to break tomorrow - off to Verona for a few days then Milan for a concert…then school calls!!
Looks fabulous…the other Serenissima is pretty ok too!
Carnevale - and Chinese New Year - came with no expectations and had the most hilarious day. Fritelle (for breakfast) through to sunset and beyond! 9.5 miles and 15 storeys of walking! Cheese and franciacorta for supper! Just amazing #Venezia #carnevale
…forever grateful west Norfolk finally saw sense!!! My overriding question is however…the shoes???
