I realize that the pendulum has since at least partially swung back again on the views regarding Scott's expedition, but I still appreciate the willingness to question the traditional narrative.
I watched the mini-series "The Last Place on Earth" when it was telecast on PBS back in the 80s. It made me completely re-think what I thought I knew about the race to the South Pole from my school days 15 years earlier!

FWIW, growing up we always had ketchup on french toast. BUT, our version of french toast was just bread dipped in eggs and then fried; no cinnamon, powdered sugar or anything else that most people would tend to add. If I tell anyone now about this, I get strange looks ... so I don't do that anymore
