Agreed on Abs WW too. The five issue arcs thing we’ve these books is a bit of a pain. Feels like the worlds would be built quicker with some shorter arcs

Every issue of Absolute Batman defies me to to continue with it. I’m interested in the art and momentum of the thing. The art is consistent but the writing…it’s by turns obtuse (the villains powers) or on the nose (Bruce’s circle of villain friends).

The book in the jiffy was favoured by the mail gods. It’s really a very pretty book. Bilquis Evely draws great (though I love Mateus Lopes’s colours too)

My first bad one was getting awful aggressive emails from the organiser of a book co-written by a director with great artists. The book was then available through my retailer, who I get a get a generous discount from, a month before my copy turned up.
