Have you been putting off your book because you’re waiting for the 'perfect time'? Do you find yourself starting new projects and never finishing?
My beautiful pal Alice!! Go and get involved, her work is so great! 🖤
Alice Slater is a writer and ex-bookseller from London. Her debut novel, Death of a Bookseller, was an instant Sunday Times bestseller and won Debut Crime Book of the Year at Capital Crime’s Fingerprint Awards 2024. Her second novel, Let the Bad Times Roll, is out now.
We published Alice in our third issue and have loved her and her work since. She embodies the very Extra Teeth ethos of writing for the love of it, uplifting and helping other writers and most of all, not letting the grind get in the way of the process (or the joy)!
This week on With Bite we spoke with the effervescent @aliceslater.bsky.social about her writing career! Alice told us about her beginnings in writing, what feeds her and what doesn't (the dreaded networking), navigating book deals and most importantly, making a living as a writer!
