In my household, very much yes

I feel like these spiders would understand me when I tell them why they can’t hang out in the shower.

there's something better past all this, pic is related
The boycott you’re thinking of was in Montgomery. The only real bus campaign in Birmingham was a single day and it was in response to SCOTUS ruling in favor of the Montgomery boycotters. Otherwise spot on, though.

Take his personal army away from him while you can, you stupid, stupid assholes. You’re like an armadillo playing dead in the middle of the road so the semi won’t hurt you
We all work for George Soros anyway
This is the only holiday music you are allowed to play around me
No one has called the police to tell them their son did it yet
This shit, like so much else around higher ed in 2025, def feels like the school admins being excited to finally have an excuse to bring the hammer down on people they had nothing but contempt for all along.

Alabama Public Television is debating whether to sever ties with PBS, cutting off Sesame Street and similar programs.
I think this is the most important part of any project.
Lightning Bolt are still good when they’re on a stage, in case you were wondering.
One of the few “bigger” bands we did where we dealt mostly with the band, rather than management. Greg mixed it (sounds rad) and picked the songs, which is a thing we encouraged more bands to do, but almost no one did. Every step of this process was delightful. youtu.be/ll0ZP75tsjo
Also g*n to my head, this ^^^ is my all time favorite ep of this particular series. Lockdown anxiety/ennui aside, Meg is an absolute ripper and their band on this tour was 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
We shot this in like late Jan/early Feb 2020. It was the footage and audio I had on my hard drive when we all got told not to come in, so this is what I worked on in between reading CDC situation reports and noticing Andrew Cuomo’s nipple rings. Unbelievably surreal experience. youtu.be/6amwB7YSI_w
This was always kind of the target. Not really a “punk” band, but definitely a pretty fully committed DIY band. Probably has an AudioTree session. “Known,” but not “famous” or whatever. Anyway, goddamn when the parachute lights up the first time. youtu.be/Auyr09PpAoU
We made the stuff we made because it felt important to us. It still does.
Anyway, I’m just gonna post episodes that liked a lot in this thread periodically until I get tired of doing it. All of this is a real kick in the pants and I feel weird semi-publicly mourning a job. But also…
The PBS/CPB/lifesaving foreign aid rescission bill from earlier this year yanked money from the funding stream that pays my salary, so that’s that. 10 other people from the station got it too, including said brother and 3 more of my closest coworkers.
A hand hold an orange backstage pass for the music venue, Saturn. In the space where they would write the name of the band, it says “subcarrier” and the date, which is 9/22. There’s also a dog having an episode in the background.
Filmed the last episode of maybe the coolest thing I’ll ever do in my life.
From the tail end of the Bush Administration until tonight, I made live music series(s) with my brother and some of my best friends in the world for the PBS station in Alabama. Insane thing to get to do.
